Summary: As Ned would say.. PreDiddly-Ictable!
Review: Of course One expects a formulaic novel when you read a romance, but Ride a Dark Horse is a repeat of the same scenes over and over again. The woman and the man smooch then they fight, the woman rides the horse brilliantly, the woman and the man smooch and fight, then the woman rides the horse brilliantly, and so on and so on.

The author knows her stuff where horses are concerned, but the tedious, unoriginal romance between two wounded, but otherwise flawless characters is like reading through mud. I LOVE adult horse books. If you want a grown up version of those young adult books we know and love, read Riders by Jilly Cooper, or Trophies by Ainsley Sheridan.

Summary: Ride a Dark Horse gets 4 hooves up!!!!
Review: Ride a dark horse is an amazing book about Cassie Miller, an equestrian who moves to Virginia from NEw york to work on 5 Oaks Farm. I have read this book from cover to cover so many times it doesn't have covers anymore! :) LOL But seriously, its a good book so read it!!!!

Summary: The cover of the book reached out to me!
Review: The grace and power of a horse and rider performing in an equestrian event is a pleasure to see. This story combines a love story between two unlikely people who come together, not without a big push from some friends, with their main goal,to showcase a specially bred horse with a rider than can help him reach his potential on the circuit.Caleb is a vet and part owner of Orion, and Cassie is the young, but very experienced rider who encounter roadblocks in their quest for success. This is a well written story, with wonderful characters and dialogue, a book you won't want to put down. If you love horses and romance, this will not disappoint you!!

Summary: Unbelievable for a first novel!
Review: This is a great debut novel from someone who obviously knows her stuff regarding the hunter/jumper world and veterinary medicine. If she isn't a rider, then she's done some fantastic research.

Cassie and Caleb's romance blossoms slowly, which is a refreshing change. I dislike this trend I've seen developing over the past year or so in contemporary romance which gets the H&H in bed way to soon--before there's even a friendship between them in some cases. Thankfully, Ms. Moore didn't do this, making this a very pleasurable read.

I'd definitely recommend 'Dark Horse' to my friends.

Summary: A nice read.
Review: This is a light romance with some good elements. The characters are fairly strong and believable. The plot was a mildly interesting tale of a girl and her new-boyfriend's ex-wife's horse. You follow? No? Well, the lovely horse that seems to be the lynchpin for the whole story actually belongs to the hero's vindictive ex-wife. The best part of the story, however, was the brother. I hope that Ms. Moore has plans to write his story, because I would very much like to read that one.

All in all, if you can find it used here on Amazon, buy it. If not, well, you're missing a mildly fun way to pass a little time. If you want some good books of the type, however, you might want to try Michelle Martin's "The Long Shot" or if you like a little suspense, "Hunter's Moon" by Karen Robards is absolutely wonderful.

Summary: Excellent Story
Review: This was an excellent story. The best feature was the horse theme, but the setting of Virginia was also nice. Some of the sex scenes were a little too detailed, but I loved the "happily-ever-after" plot. There were also some great twists that I didn't expect. Overall, it was an exciting book to read, and with so many pages, it lasted a couple days. This book makes me want to see more from Laura Moore.
