Summary: A don't miss medieval!
Review: After reading Tina St. John's debut novel, LORD OF VENGEANCE, I was hooked by her writing style and knew I'd run out and grab her next books. In both her second book, LADY OF VALOR, and in this book, she's shown that she's one of those authors who only gets better!

The hero of WHITE LION'S LADY, Griffin of Droghallow, is a rough, tough, golden boy warrior whose honor has been trampled by his foster brother, Dominic. Griff is a wonderfully flawed three-dimensional character who readers will love despite his mistakes. If you're a fan of die-hard alpha males, this is absolutely the book for you!! The plot is fresh, the action keeps the story racing along, and the sexual tension between the hero and heroine is realistic--never forced. And (a nice bonus!) St. John has successfully avoided stereotype in her heroine. No too-stupid-to-live characters in this book.

Brava! A five star read!

Summary: Fast and Exhilirating Read
Review: From the very first page you will be hooked into reading - and possibly staying up all night to get to the last! Ms. St. John just keeps getting better.

Isabel the young girl chasing a butterfly, gets lost in the woods and is about to be gored by a wild boar when out of those same woods, steps the young gallant Griffin of Droghollow. He slays the boar and young Isabel is captivated by the young hero who has saved her life. But then of course, we all grow up and life's circumstances can change most anyone.

Isabel has spent the last 10 years in a convent and is now on her way to her betrothed, the Earl of Montborne, to be married by order of the King Richard. Griffin has his assignment - kidnap the bride and bring her to his step-brother Baron Dominic of Draghollow - cohort of Prince John.

Neither Griffin nor Isabel recognize one another. Isabel still has in her mind the remembrance of her young hero Griffin and has never removed the medallion he lost that long ago day in the woods. Griffin is enchanted by the very lovely bride - not knowing who she is. She, against her better judgement, is drawn to her captor. Not until she is brought to the gate of Droghollow, does Isabel realize who her captor is. Will she ever be able to forgive Griffin for this betrayal and will he be able to ever forget his deeds and find himself worthy of her love.

The writing is superb, the story exciting and the sexual tension is terrific! It is a story worthy of the highest rating possible. Bravo to this new author

Summary: Medieval romance at its best!
Review: How can you not like Tina St. John's medieval romance adventures!?

WLL is another winner with Isabel on her way to her betrothed, an Earl chosen by her guardian, King Richard, only to be kidnapped by none other than Griffin of Droghallow. Her childhood hero. He has changed though; there is no more heroic and gallant behaviour from the once golden boy. Now it's only raw passion and disillusionment from a fallen angel, a lost soul. Sounds good? You bet!

In her third book, Tina St. John perfects a hero so courageous, dangerous, protective and sensual, I couldn't help but fall for him. Not only that, she toped it with a heroine who matches him in all actions and emotions, creating a perfect balance of exciting action scenes and loving tender ones. Nothing pretentious about Tina's style or her characters.

I highly recommend White Lion's Lady to all you medieval romance fans out there!

Summary: A bit disapointing!
Review: I bought this book on the strength of Amazon.com's readers & reviewers (all Five or Four stars with the exception of one Three star) and I must say, I was let down. I found that the characters and/or the plot had nothing new to say; were in fact drawn as rather ordinary stock-romance-novel figures, (particularly the evil Dom, although I appreciated Ms. St. John's attempt to give him depth by flashing back to the episode of his father killing the puppy). The praise given for the character of Isabel was way out of league -- frankly I thought she was a bit dull for a heroine. I thought the attraction between the hero & heroine felt rushed; there was no sexual tension. I agree with the 3-star reviewer who said this is a good read -- it IS; but it just isn't superlative, 5-star writing like the other reviewers said it was, and certainly no keeper for me.

Summary: Exciting medieval romance!
Review: Prepare yourself for an exciting medieval romance you will not want to put down.

WHITE LION'S LADY is the 1st in a 2 part series.

Eighteen year old Isabel de Lamere, ward to the Crown, is on her way to her betrothed, Sebastian Montborne (who you will read about in BLACK LION'S BRIDE). On her way to the Montborne's she is abducted by Griffin, the White Lion. She does not realize at first that this is the man who she met first as a boy, the boy whose medallion she carries everywhere she goes. The boy she remembers represents honor and chivalry.

Unfortunately Griffin has become a hardened man, made to carry out tasks that are distasteful and each day wear at his soul. His evil step-brother now sets him out on the task of kidnapping Isabel. Upon returning Isabel to his step-brother, and being denied the bounty promised him, Griffin and Isabel escape and continue on to her betrothed. During this time, they fall into a forbidden love.

Tina St. John weaves an enchanting tale of love, acceptance, and high adventure. The chemistry between these two characters sizzles, and it is a delightful read that you won't want to miss.

Summary: Incredible!!! Everyone should read this book...
Review: This was a wonderful read! After this book and LORD OF VENGEANCE, I have put Tina St. John high on my list of must-have writers. Griffin and Isabel were a perfect couple. Their reunion and love story was sweet, sensual, and filled with exciting action. I would definitely read this book again. Maybe I will after I read the follow-on title, which I just ordered. :->

Summary: Bland characters, good storytelling.
Review: This was my first Tina St. John book, by the way. She came highly recommended via several different websites, so I figured why the heck not. St John's style of writing is very easy to read, and her story moves along at an entertaining clip, but I found that the characters were rather bland and boring overall, and utterly predictable. Hero is brooding, heroine is innocent and sweet, and that's about it really. No depth, no fire, no spark, no spunk, no grit. Just a tearfully soft miss and an 'angry' knight who takes all of three seconds to fall head over brooding heels in love with her. Hmm.

I finished this book without having one particularly strong opinion about it at all, which is very surprising for me -- I normally love or loathe a book. I think it was the characterization that failed me in this book above all. Isabel is sweet and demure and pretty much that's about it, and Griffin was less than dimensional himself. The story is your typical 'maiden abducted and falls in love with her captor' type fare, and Isabel's intended husband, Sebastian, is portrayed in such a likeable, charming way that you know he is just being set up for the sequel. Unfortunately, I found him immensely more charming than Griffin, our hero!

After reading high praise of Miss St John's work, I suppose I expected more from this. However, it was not a BAD book by any means, and a quick entertaining afternoon read. I wasn't blown away or amazed as I would have expected, given her high praise so far. Maybe this is her first book she wrote--if so, I'm willing to pick up more by her. I did like the fact that this was one of those books where the hero & heroine are NOT at each other's throats the entire time -- as a plot device that gets used entirely too much. So I have to give Tina St John a hand for that!

If you want my opinion,if you're looking for a new author's voice, try White Lion's Lady. It's not the most exciting, but easy read.

Summary: A wonderful book!
Review: This was my second Tina St. John book and I really liked it! The hero was a warrior-type rogue who needed the heroine to tame him and help steer him away from his troubles. She made him a better man by loving him and that is the ultimate female fantasy! *S* I also loved the ending and have ordered BLACK LION'S BRIDE to see what happens with the next hero.
