Rating: Summary: Riveting Review: Another great book by Ms. Cook. Alot of mystery, suspense, and of course romance. The heroine,Marianne is a strong woman who can take care of herself. It's not like some of the historical books that you read where the lady ALWAYS needs a man. She stands on her own. A very well wriiten book & highly recommended.

Rating: Summary: The series gets better with book two Review: Book one, Stolen Heart, was a good book (3 to 3 & 1/2 stars), but Camp follows it up with a better book. Although I liked Alexandra and Thorpe better than I like Marianne and Justin, the book as a whole was better, with a better-paced plot and fun new background characters. Repeat characters from book one add an enchanting familiarity and continuity.
Occasionally the rehash of events from book one are onerous if you've just read that book; readers attacking the series one after the other may want to skim over those areas. But the suspense is improved in this work.
Camp needs to work on her endings; they don't pack much wallop and leave me feeling as though something's missing. This is really a 3 & 1/2 star book for me, but it's enough of an improvement over the first one to bump it up a notch.
Rating: Summary: In the mood for a thrilling love story? This one is for you! Review: I just finished reading the book last night, I was not supposed to stay up so late because I have to get up early to have everything ready before me and my husband leave the house to take our son to preschool, and then go to work. But instead of taking the book to the office, to read at lunch time, I just went and finished it all. IT WAS WONDERFUL!One of the things I liked best is that the narrative does not have any of the melodramatic nonsense in which the heroine and/or the hero have to go through rather agonizing situations for them to be happy. This tale is an enchanting, action-packed romance, which portrays the clash of two very strong characters, Marianne, a beauty with a self-sufficient disposition, and Justin with all his overconfidence and alluring arrogance. The story is so absorbing that it keeps you turning the pages until you realize that the book is over. I tried to take it slow and read a few pages at a time, but could not. You will not regret reading this one, I highly recomnd it. I have already read "A Stolen Heart," the first of the series which is wonderful too. It is the first time that I did not feel sad about the book coming to an end, since I know that "No Other Love," the third book of the series, will be out soon. When is this one going to be released? I have searched throught the Internet and I have not been able to find any information about it, so if someone knows anything about this, please let me know.
Rating: Summary: Entertaining Review: Marianne Cotterwood loathes the aristocracy because of their arrogant way they look down at the masses. Having grown up at an orphan factory, she knows first hand what the pats on the head with the haughty look means. To assist the elite with their alms to the poor, Marianne steals their valueables. Marianne's occupation is interrupted when Lord Justin Lambeth discovers her trying to rob Lord Batterslee. Instead of turning her in, Justin offers her an opportunity to become his mistress. Outraged by his conceit, Marianne vows to destroy her "benefactor." As the duo plays a game of cat and mouse, they fall in love. However, she is from the wrong side of the tracks (or is she) and neither one trusts the other. PROMISE ME TOMORROW is an entertaining historical romance that will thrill readers with its battle of the sexes theme. The story line is a lighthearted romp that focuses on the chess match between Justin and Marianne although the tale contains a serious subplot involving the relationship between the wealthy and the poor. The two lead characters are charming and intrepid while the secondary cast provides depth to their war. Candace Camp has written an amusing tale that will please her myriad of fans. Harriet Klausner

Rating: Summary: Another great book by C Camp Review: Promise Me Tomorrow is an absolutely wonderful book. The storyline is great and the characters are well developed. You will fall in love with them! Once again Ms. Camp has told a story about a young lady who can stand on her own. It is so nice to read about a woman who is not weak or timid. Marianne has a mind of her own and uses it well. I don't want to tell too much of the story because I don't want to give anything away. This is definitely a must read book by a wonderful author. This is a fast-paced read that will keep you up at night until you're finished!

Rating: Summary: Enjoyable read Review: Stolen from her parents at an early age, Marianne Cotterwood lived a life of poverty in an orphanage. Now she's brought herself up in the world, as a high society thief. While at a party of the ton, Marianne poses as a wealthy widow, but in actuality she's stealing from the ton. When caught by Lord Justin Lambeth Marianne tries to brush it off. But Justin isn't so easily dismissed. PROMISE ME TOMORROW is a light hearted, fun book that every regency lover will enjoy. The added mystery of Marianne's birth adds to the story. Highly recommended.
