Review: I'm an avid reader of Jayne Ann Krentz (not of her Amanda Quick series, however), Nora Roberts (and her J.D. Robb series) and numerous other contemporary authors. I never had any interest in historical romance...until Jacquie D'Alessandro's "Red Roses Mean Love". This book made me laugh and cry. The mental pictures I had of the cook covered with whatever food he had hanging all over him cracked me up! I'm a convert to anything Ms. D'Alessandro writes. Can't wait for her next book.

Summary: AN ABSOLUTELY CHARMING STORY!
Review: WHAT WONDERFUL CHARACTERS! Hayley is so open and honest, Stephen finds out he is not quite the "proper gentleman" he thought he was,Aunt Olivia and company are a hoot and the tea parties are absolutely precious! This is a real "feel good" book - funny, sexy, warm and so hard to put down I decided not to! I recommend this book to anyone who likes Amanda Quick or Julie Garwood but I feel the book is uniquely Jacquie D'Alessandro and I look forward to her next book.

Review: I started reading this book while visiting my brother in Maine....it was a contest as to who got to the book first...I finally had to buy a second copy..he would not put it down ....he and I both agreed that it was a great story and very well written...the characters are lovable and funny...I can't wait for this authors next book.

Review: A friend recommended this book and I'm glad she did. It was great. I normally shy away from first time authors, but this book broke all my previous beliefs. If this was Miss D'Alessandro's first, book, I can't wait to read her next one, although I don't know how much better she can get than this one. Congratulations on a fun-filled mystery that made me laugh and cry.

Review: I LOVED this story! It's fresh, witty, delightful, and what I can only describe as a stunning debut. I loved the humor and warmth! I hope Ms. D'Alessandro has a dozen more coming--I'll be waiting to buy them. ps--the reader who thinks Red Roses Mean Love is like an Amanda Quick book needs new reading glasses. Ms. Quick simply keeps writing the same book over and over again. She just changes the characters' names. Red Roses was sharp and fresh and utterly charming.

Review: I enjoyed this book so much! The characters were delightful and heartwarming, the plot lively and emotional. Hayley is truly a heroine to admire and Stephen a hero who will steal your heart. I laughed outloud at the antics of the servants and the children, and cried when things looked hopeless for Hayley and Stephen. I highly recommend this book to everyone as it has something for everyone--laughter, tears, loveable characters and a mystery as well. And the romance is wonderful.

Review: I loved this book, could not put it down until I had finished it. Some parts made me laugh so hard I cried, and the proposal scene was so lovely I cried then too! Hard to believe this is a first novel - hurry and write another Jacquie!
