Summary: Better and Better
Review: Ms. D'Alessandro has written a winner with Whirlwind Wedding. Her first book, Red Roses Mean Love, was extraordinary! Her recent contemporary novel, Kiss the Cook, is a light hearted, amusing and thoroughly enjoyable story. But Whirlwind Wedding shows that Ms. D'Alessandro is indeed getting better and better with each book she writes. In WWW the main characters, Elizabeth and Austin, come to life early in the book and I found Elizabeth to be intelligent, funny and feisty. Austin is stubborn, of course, but endearing as he learns that Elizabeth is not intimidated by him or his title and isn't trying to win him over. The names for the kittens, Gadzooks, Egad, Fiddlesticks, et al... and how they came to be named is hilarious. Elizabeth and Austin have a running "language" joke (she being American, he English) that is funny, true to life and natural. Although the book is very amusing throughout, there is a fascinating mystery in the plot that kept me intrigued until the very end. Bravo Jacquie! WWW has it all, humor, mystery, great lovable characters and a surprise ending!

Summary: Breathtaking
Review: My second book by Ms. D'Alessandro and it will not be the last! Loved this one as much as her first "Red Roses Mean Love". This was so good, the Duke and the naughty American. Wonderful play with words, the humour was right on! Loved the secondary characters and the names of the cats - Gadzooks and so on and so forth. Absolutely delightful and very HOT romance! Bravo!

Summary: First but not last
Review: This book was the first I've read by D'Alessandro, and I was extremely pleased - it won't be the last! The characters are well developed and truly compelling. They are funny, passionate, and the author truly convinces you that the heroine's 6th sense is believable. I am not a fan of supernatural or paranormal novels, however the "gift of vision" given is this book was well done. The secondary characters are as fun and real as the primary ones, which helps hold the storyline together.

The plot moves along at an enjoyable pace and it was a refreshing change how these two characters end up meeting, marrying and "learning" to love each other - nothing abrupt or coy about it!

I enjoyed it and think others will as well.

Summary: Sixth sense meets Julia Quinn
Review: This is a light read in the style of Julia Quinn's novels yet it has also a supernatural touch. Elizabeth, the heroine is clairvoyant. The duke who falls in love with her at first sight is a very emotional hero. He truly loves and adores Elizabeth from the start although he doesn't identify his feelings as ardent love in the beginning. He simply calls it the "Elizabeth-feeling". This was a change to all those dark and brooding heroes who try to avoid love like the plague. His love for Elizabeth was so great that he was willing to give up everything for it.

Summary: Sixth sense meets Julia Quinn
Review: This is my first book of Jacquie D' Alessandro and certainly not the last. In fact, I am now in the process of reading RED ROSES MEAN LOVE. Elizabeth and Austin are lovely couple. I did enjoy their character as well as their romantic story. The mystery/action twist of this book is intriguing. The secondary character's are also an added spice. Overall, Whirlwind Wedding is fast paced, filled with humor, romance and exciting turns.

The reason why I didn't rate this book a five stars is cu'z of a small personal preferences. Every now and then, I do enjoy seers, visions, magics and etc on my books especially if the time setting is in the medieval ages. However, I am not much of paranormal regencies (18th century). I didn't particularly favor the heroine's gift of vision. I guess you can say in this instance, I prefer the element of surprise. I didn't appreciate Elizabeth knowing what Austin's thinking. There are cute moments but I still prefer surprises. I wanted more excitement and tension between them. Also, the ending was a wee bit lacking for me. Perhaps it's cuz I was looking forward to read William's homecoming. The added surprise of Josette and Claudine to the family would have been a grand and heart warming ending. Also, I wanted so much to read a bit more of Miles and Caroline. Oh well, like I said, these are just small niggle of my own preferences. Overall, this book is entertaining and a charming read. I would love to read Robert's story, if Jacquie D' Alessandro would create a novel just for him.

Review: What a great book! I could not put it down untill I had finished it. Then I got on-line to order her other books.

Summary: Finally, a "tallish" heroine!
Review: What a great story! I found the characters more real then most "romance" heros and heroines. I for one am tired of all the tiny dainty ladies that are abundant in romance novels. Elizabeth was very witty, smart, compassionate and tall! :) I cant want to read "Red Roses Mean Love", and I wanted to tell everyone to read this book! It has more heart then the average romance novel. And more humor!
