Summary: Shallowness reigns supreme
Review: I expected better from a writer who has received much attention. Instead, I found this book to be quite unsatisfying. The main characters are one-dimensional, driven by just one or two lusts; they also spend way too much time thinking about the details of the material things their money has bought them. In addition, the author is not very subtle in telling us about these despicable people. Just because the characters are shallow does not mean the writing has to be shallow as well.

Summary: E. Lynn Can Make it Down and Dirty...
Review: I've always enjoyed E. Lynn's books, but this one takes the cake (and the frosting, too!). The characters are ones you love to hate and some you would give a real beat-down if you met a person like them in real life.

Keeping secrets do not always prove to be an easy feat for Basil. Mistreating people doesn't always pay off for Yancey or her mother. The story is told with such clarity, the reader will feel as if they're watching a movie instead of reading a novel.

Well done, Mr. Harris. Well done.

Summary: And this too shall "continue"?
Review: While the lightening strikes and the thunder rolls Basil will never stop his game of Charades. Mr. E. Lynn Harris you have truly done it again with Basil's character. What is a woman...uhhh..a man to do...lol.

I've truly enjoyed all of your books thus far. I'm loving the suspense and I'm always excited for the next book.

I do have a comment on the character of Yancey. Do you think that she'll ever forgive Basil for what he has done?

Summary: Good Story, Confusing End
Review: This is my first E.Lynn Harris novel-length experience (I have read a short story by him). The storyline was excellent. The characters were interesting, though he did not spend as much time developing "Basil" as he did developing Yancey. He caught you at the beginning, so that you just had to know what happened at the end. Very clever! But in the end, I don't think the question was clearly answered. Why weren't we allowed in that journal! Over all, very good writing.

Summary: couldn't put it down
Review: Great book. Well written, just enough left to the imagination. I really liked the authors style. `

Summary: E.Lynn Harris Does it Again!
Review: I finished this book in one day, and needless to say it just wasn't long enough. This book has the climax to make you miss your metro stop just to turn the page. I love the writer, and his stories. His writing is written so I the reader am able to visualize the chain of events, let alone the expressions the characters use to express there anger, fear, and surprise. I love this book, as well as other books written by this author.....I wonder....if he will ever make a movie

Summary: Hanging on for more.
Review: I have read every one of E.Lynn Harris's novels. They are excellent. Each charater is followed to the very end. There aren't any enconsistancies and the story line is strong and powerful. Never have a read a series of books that leave me begging for more. Before I read his novels, I was very homophobic and closed minded about homosexual relationships. Now, I see homosexuals and their relationships on a much more respected and tolerable level. Harris's novels have served as an education, entertainment, and anticipated event for me ever since I read the first page of his novels. I recommend this book to all.

Summary: Excellent, a definite page turner!
Review: Let's just say I read this book in one day. I couldn't put it down. One of the most excellent books I've ever read, I became deeply involved with the characters and couldn't wait to find out what they would do next. Can't wait for the sequel!

Summary: He's done it again!!!!!
Review: This book was great as if I didn't know it before I even read the first page. I read this book in about 10 hours and it was GREAT!!! It left me wanting more but that is nothing new, each and everyone of his books always does.Hurry UP and hit me with the next one E. Lynn.

Summary: Not A Day Goes By
Review: This book was full of DIRT!! And Yancy was the star of this book. Also Yancy's mom (Ava) was dirty too. Ava was just as raw as her mother, and who do you think taught her that? That's right her mother. Her mother did not raise her but she still learned Ava's ropes. Nicole did not see the things that were happening to her. Yancy tore Nicole up. Yancy also did dirt to Basil, but Basil was smart enough to get her back and cancel the wedding on the wedding day.HA HA HA--Gotcha Yancy!!
