Summary: A Fast, Fun and Sensational Ride
Review: This was my first time reading an E. Lynn Harris book and I was thoroughly impressed with "Not a Day Goes By", a story about John Basil Henderson and his bride-to-be Yancey Harrington Braxon. They both have secrets that threaten to destroy their impending union and E. Lynn keeps you gripped to your seat as you're taken from one dramatic scene to another on the couple's quest to reach the altar.

The plot was tighter than tight and remained on focus throughout the book. This means that every scene and every character added something and was built upon the central theme of the story. Because the plot was so tight, you must give a nod to his editor because only good editing can make a book read as well as "Not a Day Goes By."

From the drama surrounding Basil and his past, to the antics of Yauncey and her unforgettable mother, Ava, E. Lynn's characterizations are strong and noteworthy. They are realistic characters and you are allowed to feel their every mood. I actually noticed when I was laughing and/or shedding tears (a rarity for me) during the most hilarious and sensitive scenes.

This book is the epitome of a page turning novel. The outstanding writing, awesome plot twists, memorable characters, and laugh really loud dialogue should make "Not a Day Goes By" one of the most commendable novels of the year.

Summary: MR. HARRIS HAS DONE IT AGAIN!
Review: Despite the length of the book, I must say that MR. Harris is excellent! The characters were great as they usually are. I must say Basil is one of my favorite characters. I have read every book by E. Lynn Harris and this one is great. I hope he's working on the sequel to this book because there were several questions left unanswered. Like what happen to Yancey? What decesion did she make about Derrick and Madison? I'm also glad that She realized what a great friend Windsor was and the fact that she was just like Ava. Okay that's enough if you want to know more you have to go buy the book! I hate the way Ava was but my name is Ava and I'm nothing like that!

Summary: One more time...... yet again
Review: Standard E Lynn Harris fare except this time I actually felt sorry for Basil. There'e a story missing though - when are we going to find out the full story about Zurich. More frothy than the other E Lynn Harris books, its time to get back to the basics.

Summary: Worth The Wait
Review: It was worth and the wait and the anticipation E.Lynn Harris' new book, Not A Day Goes By. The book was a very easy read. Read it in a couple of hours - had to read it very slowly to make it last longer. Loved the way the main characters John Basil Henderson, and Yancey were developed. The most interesting character was Ava, Yancey's mother Queen of the Divas.

Know Basil will reappear in some future work but please consider bring additional story line with Raymond. This book will apart of our book club discussion in August. Waiting with much anticipation for your next book.

OF COURSE IT HAS TO BE DONE WITH TASTE, THAT DEPENDS ON HOW GOOD THE DIRECTOR IS, BUT THE THING IS THAT "IT HAS TO BE DONE! E-LYNN, THE BOOK WAS ABSOULTLY BEAUTIFUL. YOU SHOWED THAT BASIL CAN BE "HUMAN" TOO. THAT HE CAN LOVE AND HURT. AND THEN, AT THE END GOES BACK TO BEING THE DAWG THAT WE ALL KNOW AND LOVE. YANCY AND HER MAMA AVA WERE A RIOT. ESPECIALLY AVA. Summary: One More Day, Please!
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I wish it had been longer! E. Lynn Harris has done it again. I think Basil is my favorite character, and I like him because he is the most complex. I also like the fact that Mr.Harris brought in characters from previous novels.

Summary: Just Great
Review: Mr. Harris has done a fine job writing this one as well. He was very in tune with the characters. He still showed us how self absorbed Yancey is. I liked the new Basil. I felt sorry that because of Yancey's selfishness, Basil reverted to his previous ways. I also liked that Harris brought back two previous characters (Zurich and Raymond) that would try to talk Basil into coming to grip with his past. Now, Ava (Yancey's mother) is still a trip. I hope there are no mothers out there who will treat their daughters the way she does Yancey. No wonder Yancey is self-centered. Ava really needs to be brought down a peg or two.

Buy it and read it. Took me two days to finish it. This book is a winner and I would recommend it to my friends. It starts off with a kicker and then ends with a bang. I can't wait for Harris' next one.

Summary: Refreshing Reunion
Review: This long anticipated book had me glued to its pages from beginning to end. It was refreshing to see old characters as Basil and Yancey tackle the issue of love. I felt the love, envy, hate, and betrayal in the story. The ending left open a small door for a sequel, and I loved the fact that Basil has grown emotionally. Maybe, Basil can reunite with his first lady love Yolanda, and may Basil find inner peace. THANK YOU E. LYNN FOR A TERRIFIC STORY. YOU HAVE A FAN FOR A LONG TIME TO COME.

Summary: LOVED IT!
Review: Alright Mr. E....you've done it again. I thoroughly enjoyed it. OK, when are we to expect your next book? Keep them coming, and God Bless!

Summary: BRAVO
Review: I loved this book, I read it one setting. I felt bad for Yancey, Basil was wrong for not sharing his past, and Yancey could have handled things differently. I also think Basil would have always been bisexual so even though Yancey had faults it wouldn't have worked anyway.
