Summary: Two wonerful western romances fo the price of one-Harriet
Review: For the past eighteen months, Marshal Shay McQuillan has almost constantly remained in an alcoholic stupor as he struggles with the fact that his fiancee was senselessly killed during a stagecoach robbery that he has not been able to solve. When an identical twin he never knew existed shows up, he begins to sober up as they work together to solve the robbery, which they do in spite of the help of Aislinn Lethaby, who wants to protect Shay from harm. Shay and Aislinn confess their love, but their lives remain in danger from a wealthy rancher.

One year later, the other twin, Tristan Saint-Laurent owns a nearby ranch, but is restless. He wants the same type of relationship that Shay and Aislinn share. One day, Emily Starbuck and her sheep arrive on his ranch. She insists that the spread is hers. In spite of the danger inherent with sheep in cattle country, Tristan risks all to protect Emily. However, he knows that his life as a bounty hunter makes him poor marital material. In spite of falling in love, his past threatens their future together.

Linda Lael Miller has gifted her myriad of fans with a book that is in actuality two novels in one cover by adding the sequel into the package and selling it as a flip book. Though the first story is the stronger of the pair because of the intrigue and danger imbued throughout the story line, both tales are well written and could have just as easily been sold as separate novels. Fans of western romance will devour this 2-for-1 gift package from the ingenious Ms. Miller.

Summary: Great Stories horrid endings
Review: I absolutely loved both stories but I have to say that I hated the way the stories end. Each story ends with the characters' first love scene and then it jumps to an epilogue that takes place one year later. The stories need just a brief, maybe one page transition from that love scene before it jumps to the epilogue and it would flow a lot better. It shows the sign of a great writer to get the reader so emotionaly involved that you don't want the book to end but we still need to end the book without feeling cheated from a great ending.

Summary: Great story that you wish would continue. Great format.
Review: I am a big fan of Miller stories, especially historical fiction in the old west. I loved the format of this book. It is truly two books in one. Each story stands on its own. But when you finish the first wondering what happened to the characters after the story is over you can simply turn the book over and find out.

Summary: I found this book to be one of Ms. Millers best
Review: I enjoyed reading about these two brothers. I couldn't put the book down.It was so great to be able finish reading about Shay and Aislinn, than go right in and found what happens with Tristan.

Review: I'm glad Ms. Miller's returned to writing historical romances, but although this one was good enough for me to complete, I felt as if I had been left dangling. There didn't seem to be as much fire between the heros and heroines, unlike her other books. I hope her next historical will be better.

Summary: Good, but not as entertaining as I had hoped.

Summary: Great book - but this was a bit easier to put down
Review: This book was good, but it lacked the "I can't put it down until I've finished it" quality. Shay and Tristen's story was well written. The first part of the book and the story about Shay and Asilin was very good. It also introduced the major characters in the story. The second part of the book about Tristen and Emily was a bit more slow moving. The constant bickering about the sheep and her claim to the land got tiring. It would have gone quicker if something would have happened to those stupid sheep.
