Summary: A story that wraps around you like a homemade quilt...
Review: Find a comfortable chair in a quiet place and transport yourself to the south. The story woven by Deborah Smith will make you laugh and cry, in the style of Steel Magnolia's and the wisdom of To Kill a Mockingbird, it's a book you wish will never end. There will be a sequel, won't there Deborah?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I cannot wait for her next book to be available
Review: I could not put this book down. It was meant to at least last a week and I finished it the first day. Claire's courageous spirit to help Roan captured my heart and my soul. I have passed this book on to friends as my #1 book for the summer. I can't wait for the next one!

Summary: Heart wrenching love story in the rural south.
Review: A story of true love against all odds that sweeps you into the heart of the rural south as only Gone with the Wind has done before. Deborah Smith is a gifted painter of landscapes, dreams, hope and true love.

Summary: This book holds my heart in the palm of it's hand.
Review: I will never forget this book, I simply fell in love with the thought of having a love like the one within these pages. I only wish everyone had an appreciation for life in which I had when reading this book.

Summary: Clear your calendar and enjoy!
Review: This book reveals Family with all it's foibles, freckles, fears and familiarity. This book defines Love with all the sacrifice, regidity, acceptance and endurance. This book affirms the South for my ancestors, decendants and myself. Make time to read this, you won't appreciate any interruptions. You will laugh with the unexpected wisdom of the 10 year old girl/woman, and you will shed tears of anguish for the lost boy she finds, owns, loves and waits for. When they come together again you will experience their love's true maturation, and maybe your own.

Summary: Definitely a keeper !
Review: Deborah Smith takes us on a journey that is often funny, and often poignant. She develops the characters with respect and honesty and never fails to permit us to see ourselves in their experiences. I definitely will share this one !

Summary: Most interesting novel I've read recently.
Review: Excellent character development, plenty of romance with realistic complications; eventually turns out the way you want with a happy ending.

Summary: Absolutely fabulous!!
Review:

A Place To Call Home is wonderful.

Deborah Smith has one of the most unique voices in woman's fiction, and she outdoes herself in A Place To Call Home. Her characterization is fabulous, and the sense of place is unbelievable. If you grew up in the deep South with strong Southern roots, I have no doubt this book will seem like a trip home. For the rest of us who grew up in less colorful parts of the country, this book is a peek into a world you may not have known existed.

Absolutely fabulous!!!!

Summary: One of the Best Books I've Ever Read!
Review: I read Claire and Roan's story in one day (if you count staying up half the night). This is a must read for anyone that loves a good soul-mate story.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I hated for this book to end!!!
Review: I stumbled upon Deborah Smith sort of by accident, but I am so glad I did! This book was wonderful... the kind where you want to read it cover to cover in a day so you can find out what happens, but you make yourself go slow so you can savor it. I loved the characters, the story, but most of all I loved the writing. Deborah Smith's style of writing had me both laughing and crying aloud with Claire and Roan. I've passed the book on to my mom and my one of my best friends, and I'm sure they'll love it as much as I did. Keep them coming, Deborah!!
