Summary: Don't waste your time, this book is not very good
Review: I was totally disappointed in this book. It took Harriet like 100 pages to figure out that it wasn't the present and that she was in the past. I couldn't believe that a woman who is supposed to be modern could actually believe that she was having a dream for more than 24 hours. It was a struggle to finish this book. Take my recommendation, don't waste your time.

Summary: Savor every minute of it...
Review: I've never read "Sweet Savage Love," so I'm sure I didn't gain much from all the, no doubt, smart parallels. None-the-less, I truly enjoyed reading this novel. I'd read "Frankly My Dear..." and was I ever surprised to see the name Baptiste on her latest novel. Naturally, I had to find out what James' naughty little boy had gotten himself into. Like father like son, these two rogues fight the battle of falling in love with a woman much ahead of their time. I'm not much for time-travel stories, but Hill allows you to suspend logic long enough to read straight through to the end (which, I might add, is the purpose of a good romance novel: to entertain). "Sweeter Savage Love" made me laugh, brought me to tears, and never let me put it down. A+

Summary: Read it, and then Read it again!
Review: Love, laughter, spies, handsome men and a coffin full of gold -- what more could you ask for in a romance novel? This book is a fast, fun read, I couldn't put in down. Even if time-travel isn't your 'thing' you will enjoy this frantic paced farce with all your heart.

Summary: A keeper!
Review: Sandra Hill has just acquired a new fan. This is the second book of hers I've read. It's been a long time since I was this entertained by a book. I loved the dumb men jokes! The characters remind me of people I know they're so real. Thanks for a wonderful story, Ms. Hill

Summary: Excellent!
Review: Sweeter Savage Love

Sequel to "Frankly My Dear" was excellent. Characterization and snappy dialog are Sandra Hill's strong points. I fall in love with ALL of Sandra's men, they are strong yet vulnerable and Etienne is no exception.

I particularly liked the repartee between Etienne and Cain and Abel. (How about a romance using either of these characters?)

The only downside to this novel was Ginny WOULD NOT SHUT UP. God love Sandra, who is the goddess of dialog... But this is the third novel where her heroines talk talk talk. I would especially expect a psychologist to listen more and talk less, but NO Ginny could power a boat with her constant thoughtless gabbing.

Despite the motormouth heroine, Sandra's book is an excellent-and funny- read. Well worth the cost of the book.

Summary: ok, not great
Review: The plot was good, but then I love time travel romances. There were some very good parts, but alot of the book was boring, and the only way I could get through it was to skim through the book and read the good parts only.

good things-
1. The fact that Hariett was a psychistrist was interesting and so was her going around hypnotising people.
2. I'd liked the fact that there were characters from Frankly, my Dear that were in this book and that two people from the same time who didn't know each other wound up in nearly the same time in history. ( the heroine in Frankly, my Dear and the heroine in Sweeter Savage Love )
3. The ending was really great.

bad things-
1. There could have been a little more emotion- especially a deeper love between Harriet and Entienne.
2. The forceful seducation stuff that the heroine pratically insists upon is kind of sick if you ask me.
3. And her insisting that things have to happen like the book she read, Sweet Savage Love is silly. Of course, there were similarities, but she kept forgeting that Entienne wasn't Steve, and even called him that a few times!

Summary: Hot, Hot, Hot!
Review: This book sizzles. Harriet is feisty, sexy and intelligent. Etienne is....red-hot! The love scenes in this book are steamy, and get added to my list of "things I wanna try". (Just kidding!). Sandra Hill really knows how to hook a reader, and this book led to my rushing out and ordering more of her titles. The only thing that irritated me after a while was all the "dumb-men" jokes. I liked the interaction between Harriet and Etienne, and the secondary characters were fabulous. Cain and Abel deserve their own novels, and the witty repartee is excellent.

Harriet heals Etienne's war scars, and fights for the man she loves. She also heals the breach between Etienne and his daughter, and as a psychiatrist, she is well-equipped to do this. The plot is excellent, the dialogue flowing, and the humour excellent. A keeper, for sure.
