Summary: Very well written
Review: The plot sounds like many other Regencies, but Quick lifts it above the banal with a heroine more charming than the usual fluff-headed ingenue and a archetypal but well-done hero, whose character gains depth and interest from the influence of the heroine's love. It's an very good read from an author who is consistently entertaining.

Summary: Uplifting
Review: This book was a very nice and fun read. Our hero, Simon, is bent on getting revenge on Broderick Farington for an incident that took place when Simon was 12. (If I told you what the incidant was then that would be no fun, would it?) As part of his scheme he intends to blackmail Farington with his daughter. I won't go into hows or wherefores but Simon decides to marry Emily, our heroine. I liked the character of Simon because I agree with what he was trying to do. Revenge is sweet. But I am also happy that Emily was able to change him slightly. The only problem with Emily was her naivete. She really was quite rediculous sometimes, but her unswavering faith and love for Simon were what finally leads to his downfall, so to speak. He finally decides to focus on his future instead of dwelling on the past. The reason I did not give this book five stars is that Emily was just, so, gushy. At times I really wanted to slap her for being so optomistic. But all's well that ends well, and this book ends well. (I was happy that Simon did get revenge.) As long as you overlook Emily's natural tendency to be lovey dovey, this book is great.

Summary: Very, very funny and entertaining!
Review: This book was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing. Amanda Quick does seem to follow a formula in her writing but I still seem to enjoy her books. This one in particular was enjoyable because of her sense of humor throughout. My daughter came in to see why I was laughing so much. Don't miss reading this book for it is very entertaining.

Summary: Scandal
Review: This is actually one of my favorites by Amanda Quick. It is witty and funny. I thought the manipulative and powerful character of Simon made a perfect contrast to the sweet, seeming naivety of Emily. I found both characters likeable and I found this to be a thoroughly enjoyable read. I've read it three times now and I've loved it each time.

Summary: A Diamond of the First Water
Review: This is one of my all-time favorite Amanda Quick books. It is funny, sweet, and action-filled. The character development is outstanding, as they grow in relation to each other and to events, and the chemistry between the 2 main characters is palpable. It is a story of an Earl's intended revenge, but each time he thinks to finally leverage that revenge, his wife's belief in his truly higher nature, turns him away from the revenge he so desperately sought. Above all else, this is a brilliant love story that will touch your heart. HIGHLY recommended.

Summary: Interesting, but heroine annoying.
Review: This is the 5th book of Amanda Quick's that I have read and would not recommend it to a first time reader. The character Emily spouts about metaphysical love until Blade (and the reader) is ready to throttle her. The imagery of dragons is very nice and Blade is an interesting character, but all in all, I was disappointed.

Summary: INTRIGUING
Review: This story is fabulous, intriguing and exotic. The heroine wasnaive and cute. Oh, how I like to be as wild as her. The hero wasmasculine, cold but passionate. Together, they entwined in a passionate love. I recommend this book to anyone of any age for it made your heart trembled with passion and love. END

Summary: Boring
Review: This was my first Amanda Quick book and i found it to be horrible. Emily is a smart female, i'll give her that, but she's so naive and caught up in her love for Simon, who isn't all that he's cracked up to be, and she just drives me crazy! She keeps going on and on about this higher spiritual love and i just feel like cracking some skulls. Despite how i thought this book would turn out and how it did, i'm willing to give Quick another chance, i hear some of her other books r great. This book however u won't ever catch me rereading. But if u want to try it go ahead don't let me stop u.

Summary: First Attraction
Review: This was the first Amanda Quick novel I read and it was truly amazing. Emily was so cute and the character contrast of Emily and Blade was artistic. I think this was one of her best books yet since the villan wasn't murderous and the fantastic mind of Emily made it possibly for him to learn his lesson.
