Summary: The Book for Some but Not Others
Review: "The MacGregor Grooms" features three stories of The MacGregor three grandsons: D.C., Duncan and Ian. He had found suitable brides for these three grandsons of his. The ladies were all from good, strong stock, as The MacGregor always said.

For D.C.'s story, it started with The MacGregor asking D.C. to escort Layna to a charity ball.

For Duncan's part, he was recommended a singer, Cat, for his gambling boat, the Princess.

As for Ian's story, he was asked by The MacGregor to pick up a few books at the Brightstone Books where he met the full partner and vice president of the bookstore, Naomi.

The stories in this volume consist of pure, sweet romance. The characters were all perfect, that is, handsome/beautiful and rich and from good families. It will be a good read only for those who love perfect love stories. Others can drop this read.

Summary: Nora is becoming my fav author!!!!
Review: "The MacGregor Grooms" was a great book. However, I do like "The MacGregor Brides" better. This book was easy to read and follow. My favorite story was Ian and Naomi. Unlike the other stories, Naomi wasn't born beautiful. She was pudgy, insecure and shy. Ian convinces her otherwise. I can hardly wait to read "The Winning Hand", and "Serena and Caine." She has a great talent for writing, and I haven't read one of hers yet that I didn't like.

Summary: Not up to her usual standards
Review: A regular Nora Roberts fan, I was very disappointed by this book. In fact, I didn't even begin the story of the second brother. If you go to a bookstore, I recommend reading the first several pages to get a feel of this book, BEFORE buying it.

Summary: Daniel MacGregor strikes again!
Review: Daniel MacGregor is a hopeless romantic who wants to see all of his progeny happily married off and producing new heirs to the MacGregor fortune. In "The MacGregor Brides", Daniel does a matchmaking job on three of his granddaughters, which he follows up in this book with similar schemes for his grandsons. He arranges meetings between D.C., an independent artist, and Layna, who is intent on advancing her career at her family's business; Duncan, who runs a gambling riverboat, and Cat, an insecure but independent singer; and Ian, a bright, young lawyer, and Naomi, a bookstore magnate who is just discovering how to have relationships. This book should please Nora Roberts fans.

Summary: Why did she write this one??
Review: Did anyone notice how easy love is??? Especially in these books, they fall in love then there is a small glitch and then they live happily ever after. For gods sake, I like sweet but does it have to cloy??

Summary: There's no stopping this matchmaking man...
Review: Everyone wishes that their perfect mate would flop into their lap, but The MacGregor, the grandfather with the most-ist, finds a way to do just that. He started with his own children. Then to the female grandchildren. Now he's started in on the male grandchildren. This book is 3 in 1 so you definitely get your money's worth. Once you read this book, you'll hunger to know more about this famous literary family. Nora Roberts has done it again!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: I needed more info on the characters
Review: First of all, I love the literature that Nora Roberts writes. However, with this book, I felt that it lacked something that her other novels have. I needed more information on the grooms. I felt this novel was RUSHED and did not have the time and care taken to it like many of her other novels.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: You just have to love the MacGregor men
Review: For those who love the MacGregors already, this is a wonderful collection of tales...

For those who don't know the MacGregors: DON'T START HERE! Resist the temptation and buy one of the earlier novels about this family. Try the stories of Daniel MacGregor's children before you try his grandchildren. Not only will you understand Daniel a little better, but Serena, Caine and Alan have much more interesting tales to tell than their children. You'll appreciate "MacGregor Grooms" that much more if you've been introduced to the cast of characters already.

Nice enough read. Nice enough heroes. But begin elsewhere.
