Summary: The only Nora Roberts book I did not like.
Review: I would like more of the modern MacGregors, e.g. Amelia, Adria, Matthew

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I haven't read Daniel's story yet.
Review: I'm still waiting for Daniel's story to be released. I've read everything that Nora has written about The MacGregor's. I have loved every moment spent in their company. The MacGregor is the perfect father and grandfather, I can't way.

Thanks for writing such great books.

Summary: Preferred Daniel over Ian's story
Review: Ian's story was rushed, although interesting as background material.

I loved Daniel and Anna's story. A reviewer commented that Daniel was very chauvanistic. This is true, but he was a product of his times. What the story showed was that he had to 'grow' in order to value who Anna was. This is a great beginning to a interesting family you want to visit time and time again. Previous reviews have rated this book boring. Boring? Amazing we all read the same book.

Summary: The MacGregors saga
Review: If I know the MacGregors in real life, I'd probably hate their guts. Beautiful, successful, charismatic, a 100% success track record, and money to put Bill Gates to shame. Oh well, but they are fun to read nonetheless.

I'm initiated to the MacGregors when I first read "The MacGregor Brides". Hence I've waited for Daniel's story to be reissued. My verdict? It's enjoyable, but it definitely shows its age. Daniel is the quissential chauvinistic arrogant hero so ubiquitous in the romances of the 80s. It's enjoyable, but not a keeper.

"In From The Cold" is slightly better, but it's too short to really make an impact.

It is telling that despite its age, I enjoy "For Now, Forever" much more than the 1999 MacGregor book "The Perfect Neighbour".

Summary: Anticipation and disappointment...
Review: In this latest installment, we get to see how it all began. The MacGregor patriarch, Daniel, meets his Anna and begins a spirited, relentless courtship. Anna, however, has other plans. I was SO looking forward to seeing how these two got together, and was surprised by the lack of anything really interesting going on between these two. In short, I was BORED. I've never before been bored by this author. However, I did enjoy seeing Myra Lornbridge, who later becomes Myra Ditmeyer, and flits in and out of other books by Nora Roberts. The story featuring Daniel's grandfather, Ian, was filled with implausibilities. The MacGregor franchise deserves better.

Summary: Absolutely Fantastic...like every Nora Robert book
Review: Nora Roberts has done it again..I've been a fan of hers for years now..and I was never dissapointed.

I've been reading the MacGregor series and I've found it hilarious, romantic, and sexy...I love it!..and every one of the MacGregor series..Daniel seems to push himself in...the way he does it..is so endearingly cute and funny.

I've always wondered the story between Anna 'n Daniel...now I know..and the story had me enthralled...I adore it...the way Daniel pursued Anna made me shiver...the way Anna tried to resist Daniel is quite hilarious for the fact that a MacGregor get what he wants..

The other story of Ian is great if you like historical romances but I prefer modern MacGregor stories

Summary: The MacGregors Daniel-Ian: Daniel
Review: Of all the MacGregor titles, this was my all-time favorite. I found Nora Roberts' ability to go back into the early lives of both characters both authentic and realistic. Daniel as a young man was as brash and unapolgetic as expected. Anna was well-bred and as determined as any woman would have to be to succeed in a man's world of that era. It's easy to see why she was the perfect match for Daniel, And why there was no other woman but Anna for The MacGregor.

Summary: Its the love for family that pulls me in...
Review: The MacGregors are a wonderful family that you wish were yours, a little on the too perfect side but quite lovable. Daniel MacGregor is a person I would love to be able to meet, and I am looking forward to reading the history of the family and am hoping that Nora Roberts marries off the whole family, because if their going to be perfect, well....let's do it right. Smile

Summary: Great story despite flaws
Review: the stories of daniel and ian were excently written in that it was able to draw me in and i was able to find myself lost in their world.i however found one little flaw in the storytelling.in daniel and anna's story it has that caine and diana's daughter laura as the oldest of the grandchildren.however if you have kept up with the macgregors you will know that robert, serena and justins oldest son is also the oldest grandchild.i normally do not knit pick, but the family is so neat you wish you too were a part of them, and when i saw that it was like keeping me at a distance because i was looking for other things that may have been wrong.but overall i loved the book as always.
