Summary: I became an instant Nora Roberts fan!
Review: The original 3 books describing the three cousins with their own 'special' powers was my first introduction to Nora Roberts books. I became an instant fan and since then have managed to collect just about all of her books....much to the joy of my mother and grandmother who also enjoys reading them before adding them to the 'collection'. The only problem I've found is that once I start reading, I hate to stop for such mundane things as working, sleeping and/or paying attention to the other members of my family.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great reading, great fantasy; wish her research was as good
Review: Nora Roberts has taken us into a fantasy world, that of three fictionalized witches. Her romances, as always, are well-crafted and fine reading. The contrasting characters, the play of fun and fabulous events against mundane "real world," make these three of her trademark heart-throb romances successful indeed.

But, as with all fairy stories, there's a catch. Ms. Roberts' writing exhibits every sign of her laying her groundwork research with facts that can be garnered about witchcraft from such respected sources as Covenant of the Goddess, Aquarian Tabernacle Church of Wicca, and Fellowship of Isis. And then she wanders off the map of modern witchcraft into the realm of pure fantasy.

The background she sets for these tales, like many of her other exotic settings of choice, is accurate in hundreds of small details about modern witches' practice, terminology, sometimes even belief systems. Unlike her forays into antique dealing, film-making, and ranching, however, she misses the mark here. If accuracy was her goal, such was not her achievement. By contrast, another Silhouette author's works show these works as embarassingly ignorant of witchcraft. Evelyn Vaughn's four-tale series "The Circle" (Silhouette Shadows) presents real witches as they really are -- diverse, capable, limited, and powerful.

Enjoy Ms. Roberts' work by all means...but do so with the knowledge that she's really flubbed her research on this one. Assuming that reality was her intention, of course.

Summary: An enjoyable read
Review: I have been a Nora Roberts fan for a long time. I truely enjoyed The Donovan series as I did all of the McGregor books. I like it when I don't want to put the book down. Thanks again for keeping us entertained.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Wonderful....Couldn't put it down!!!
Review: I just finished this book today. If you liked Nora's MacGregor books, get ready to love the Donovans. Nora brings such life to her characters and reminds us that although people might share a tie of blood; it doesn't mean they have to be anything alike.

Summary: Roberts makes me lonelier . . .
Review: Again, Nora Roberts has made me lonely. Although there is always a sense of redemption with her characters, those of us who cannot escape into her world, and therefore, cannot find such tight resolution. And to think I started The Donovan Legacy hoping to feel better.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Wonderful and I want more
Review: Thank you Nora! I ordered this and Enchanted early from Amazon so as not miss them. The timing of arrival was perfect as was the story. I have loved the Dovovan stories and would like more. Nora tells the best stories and I have enjoyed them always.
