Rating: Summary: Roberts weaves another spell Review: As a longtime reader of Nora Roberts, i was happily thrilled to not only see my favorite author continue to portray her witty prose and strong women, but to add a touch of wicca to her world. Although given quite a bit of literary license, she portrays witches as having real lives and loves, and some of the problems that can come with being both a woman and a witch. Not to say that your everyday wiccan can do the types of tricks the donovans pull off, but we are men and women who try to balance a normal life with a belief in the goddess. For those who enjoyed it, you may also like Ceremony in Death by Roberts writing as JD Robb
Rating: Summary: Three Great Books in One! Review: I am an avid Nora Roberts fan and have read most all of her books. This one will not disappoint. The subject matter is unique and interesting. The added bonus is that you get all three of the books in one! Ms. Roberts develops her characters and story line quickly, which is especially helpful in her shorter novels. I also like the fact that all of the characters are interwoven in each of the three books so that each story "continues" along in the other. Her research appears well done on most all subjects she undertakes and I particularly like her stories that center around Ireland and characters of Irish descent! Well done, again!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful, Again! Review: I fell in love with the MacGregors and have been reading everything I can find by Nora Roberts and I haven't been dissapointed. When Enchanted was recently published I was lucky enough to see a copy of The Donovan Trilogy for sale and snapped up both of them. Reading them together, in order, was wonderful. Each blended with the ones before and I couldn't put them down. I've always liked magic & fantasy in my romances and these stories were a perfect combination of everything I love in a good story. My thanks to Nora Roberts, again.
Rating: Summary: Slightly disappointing Review: I am a big fan of Nora Roberts work (especially her JD Robb series) but was left wanting when I finished this. This volume contains the complete trilogy of the Donovan cousins. The writing overall is good but I felt that the storylines relied too heavily on the presence of magic and the supernatural as a substitute for a more juicy plot or character development. The same theme/basic problem was at the heart of all three stories so by the time I finished the final part of the trilogy I felt I could almost have written it myself. However if you are a strong fan of Robert's writing, then you will probably enjoy this book, but it won't be one you read a second time.
Rating: Summary: Fascinating use of past and future! Review: I found the use of the past Irish faires with the addition of today's romance a great combination. I also liked the idea of three stories in one book. The three carried through to each other in a fluid manner. Great reading!
Rating: Summary: Sensational! Review: If you like books with romance and paranormal aspects these three stories will delight you as they did me. Nora Roberts at her best. She's always a winner!
Rating: Summary: Nora Roberts does it again... Review: Unbelievabley, Nora Roberts continues to improve with time. I loved this book, as she made the magic and the love come alive. I was spellbound. Excellent read. Another book like this one is Nobody's baby but Mine by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
Rating: Summary: A GOOD BOOK Review: I really enjoyed this book and found it difficult to put it down. The characters were very true to life, I felt like they lived right next door.. .good book. If you liked this book, or want to read one that goes straight to your heart, read Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher. . .It is a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties. I intended to give the book a quick read, but I got so caught up in the story that I couldn't put the book down. From the very beginning, I was fully caught up in the heart-wrenching account of Julie Hunter's battle with lupus and her growing love for Don Lipton. This love, in the face of Julie's impending death, makes for a story that covers the range of human emotions. The touches of humor are great, too, they add some nice contrast and lighten things a bit when emotions are running high. I've never read a book more deserving of being published. It has rare depth. Julie's story will remind your readers that life and love are precious and not to be taken for granted. It has had an impact on me, and for that I'm grateful. Stolen Moments is written with so much sensitivity that it made me want to cry. It is a spellbinder. What terrific writing. Barbara does have an exceptional gift! This book was edited by Lupus specialist Dr. Matt Morrow too, and has the latest information on that disease. ..A perfect gift for someone who started college late in life, fell in love too late in life, is living with any illness, or trying to understand a loved one who is. . .A Christmas gift to be cherished forever.
Rating: Summary: An outstanding and imaginative work of art Review: The Donovan legacy, is a wonderful series..It carries all of the things that i look for in books. Imagination, Romance, and an extreme amount of magic. :-)Definitely give it 5 stars
Rating: Summary: I Loved It So Much I'm Reading It Again! Review: I LOVE the Donovans. Maybe it's because I love magic and that sort of thing, but still, you would love it even if you didn't like magic. My favorite characters were Mel and Morgana from the three stories. I love the bond between Morgana, Sebastian, and Ana. I wish I had that kind of bond with people like they do. I read the three before in single edition, and I couldn't wait for the Donovan Legacy to come out. It still gave me thrills like it did the first time. READ THIS BOOK! It's AWESOME! I LOVED IT!
