Rating: Summary: Did anybody else notice there isn't a really a plot? Review: This is a quite lengthy series. To start out with the one thing I liked is how things from one book or cousins story overflowed to another cousins story. However, when reading it, in general, I believe that the book could have been 20 pages long just the same as 500+. The Dovan Legacy is very wordy and most of it doesn't have a real place in the book. The book COMPLETELY revolves around the "supernatural" powers the cousins possess, while trying to depict them as normal. When I finished the book I got really mad because I had wasted so much time reading it. To top off my disappointment when I analyzed what I had read, it occurred to me that it doesn't have a plot. Instead of this book try Danielle Steel's "Star."
Rating: Summary: Donavan Legacy Review: This was an excellent book I loved the characters and the story line. If you like magic and the supernatural this is the book for you. I have friends waiting to read this book and the ones who have read it loved it and want to read it again. I don't know if I'll ever get my book back. I just may have to purchase another one :)
Rating: Summary: Totally Magical Review: I loved the Donovan Legacy. As usual Nora Roberts was superb. I enjoyed the characters so much, and I was easily able to imagine each scene as described. Ana, Morgana, and Sebastian were funny, appealing, and their characters captivated and held my attention from the first page and made me believe in magic for the first time. I actually read the book several times even though I usually read a book only once, and then share it with someone else. This book is a keeper. I will definitely read it again. I hope to read more books of this caliber from Nora Roberts.
Rating: Summary: To Shelly in Montana Review: I understand that this is only your opinion on the book. I disagree that Roberts should stick to MacGregor books. She expanded her great skill of writing different characters and plots and the majority, including me, feels that whenever she has the urge to do it again we'll be waiting. And of course, another MacGregor book wouldn't hurt. :)
Rating: Summary: FANTASTIC! Review: THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST ENJOYABLE BOOKS OF ROBERTS THAT I HAVE READ SINCE HER DARING TRILOGIES. THE CHARACTERS ARE CHARMING AND DOWN TO EARTH (FOR BEING WITCHES). SEPARATING THE STORIES YET KEEPING THE CHARACTERS INVOLVED WITH EACH OTHER WAS AN EXCELLENT MOVE. WHEN THE STORY TOOK SOME SERIOUS TURNS YOU FELT ALONG WITH THE CHARACTERS AND BEGAN TO BELEIVE IN THE GIFTS THAT ROBERTS GAVE THEM. I ESPECIALLY LIKED THE STORY OF THE MALE COUSIN AND THE ENCOUNTERS WITH THEIR PARENTS MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK FOR ANYONE. I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN.
Rating: Summary: a great read beides a few minor details. Review: I read this book because enchanted was pretty good and i wanted to once again be bewitched by this engaging and quite wonderful family...Morgana's story i thought was pretty good one, because she was a strong character that not for once backed down for who she was other than that i thought that ana's story was the best. I wished that we could of got a glimpse of liam since he supposedly had such a close relationship with the cousins, but we didn't and that kinda was a disappointment in being one of the factors of enchanted that made me want to read the donavan legacy because everyone yearns for the family life that nora roberts conjures up and the donavans are just an engaging family even though they were cousins it they had a beautiful and a stronger bond then most of us experience with our own sibilings...my other problem lied within the end of ana's story, but i can not say anything in risk of revealing the ending ,but if you read ana's story and then see the family tree drawn up in enchanted there is little something that does not add up on mel and sebastian...i had to go back and reread it a couple times but that is another minor problem i had....did any one else catch it, does anyone even know what i am talking about? it is a really good book in so many ways especially since each was given a different power which i thought was a way to make them equal in likablity no one tried to outshine the other...it was a good book with my recommendation to read and enjoy just as i have....
Rating: Summary: MAGICAL Review: Nora Roberts is the one with the awesome gift of magical powers... With this book, you get 3 in 1, all of which or should I say "witch", grab your heart, mind and imagination! And yes, wether you beleive in magical powers or not, you will be left "spell bound"! As always, Nora brings her characters to life with charm, love, and laughter, each one having their own unusual twist. But all having the same magic ...which, if you look within the story lines, is the strength of a "family unit". The true chemistry there pulls you in and shows you what true family is all about. Wierd they may be, but you will be left wanting more of the Dannovans!
Rating: Summary: Great Read! Review: This is the second Nora Roberts Book I have read. I didn't much care for the McGregors but I really liked this book. I would state that of the trilogy, the Morgana story was the weakest and the Sebastian story the strongest. It definitely makes you want to read other books by this author. I know I will read Enchanted now!
Rating: Summary: The Donovan Legacy Review: This was one of her best reads.
Rating: Summary: Magic in the air Review: I love the book. I felt the magic just from the first few pages. I sat and started reading it until I read the last page. I was so involve by Nora Roberts words and how she describe the ways of love and of course magic. And she is right, Love is the greatest magic of them all. Nora Roberts did her best here in this book.
