Rating: Summary: A decent read Review: I don't know where to start to describe the truly unbelievable stories in this book. First how dumb was Kasey's late husband Mark that he accepted the fact she was pregnant and still married her? His first suspect should have been his friend he asked to take her to the party, duh. Then there were the little attention grabbing headlines in the the daily news that everyone took as gospel and jumped on the accusation bandwagon. I guess I've just lead a sheltered life, compared to what transpired in these characters everyday lives. Oh well it's just fiction, right?

Rating: Summary: not my favorite book Review: I find it very difficult to enjoy reading a book when I cannot sympathize with the protagonist. Kasey Ellis struck me as an incredibly self-involved, selfish, immature coward. The suspense was not suspenseful; was more boring filler. The romance was trite and not believable. Tanner Hart should have cut his losses and found someone with a little backbone. Kasey's relationship with her son was clingy (on her part). I felt sorry for her son. He admirably kept patience with his whiny mother. The only reason I gave this book two stars is because I was able to finish it. It wasn't so bad that I gave up on it.
Rating: Summary: Bad, bad, bad.... Review: I'm amazed this book was ever published. Did an editor even look at it? The writing is bad, the characters are cardboard cutouts, and the plot jumps all over the place. The blurb on the back of the book indicates the book is set in Tyler, Texas and yet the town is called Rushmore in the book. Don't waste your money!!
Rating: Summary: Exciting romantic suspense Review: In Tyler, Texas Widow Kasey Ellis is stunned when someone kills her mentor and business partner Shirley Parker in the garage with Kasey witnessing the murder. However, she is unable to identify the killer as he lurked in the shadows.Kasey is shocked when she learns how close to bankruptcy the public relations firm is. Her only chance of saving the company resides in bad boy turned senate candidate Tanner Hart, who decides to hire her company. The problem is that eighteen years ago Kasey and Tanner shared a heated night of passion leading to her raising their son with another man as the father and her husband. If that news surfaces the scandal will cost Tanner his bid for the senate and Kasey will lose her business and lifestyle. This is an exciting romantic suspense starring a strong cast though the reasons for the murder seem a bit weak. The story line is loaded with action and intense drama. The frustrated police cannot get Kasey to describe someone she failed to see beyond the shadows. Tanner is an interesting protagonist who behaves more like Jimmy Stewart's Mr. Smith though why he would hire a firm in trouble seems strange. Still fans will enjoy this fast-paced thriller. Rating: Summary: A decent read Review: This book was a slice of romance and mystery. Although there were parts of the book that were hard to believe, most of it was fast paced and fun. I liked how the bad guy was not left to be a mystery for the entire book because I kinda figured it out pretty fast. The characters were smart and I really liked seeing their romance develop.
Rating: Summary: Passion and danger mixes in this one! Review: Twenty years ago, Kasey Ellis indulged in a brief fling with handsome Tanner Hart, only to find herself pregnant and having to face telling the man who loves her that her child is not his. Somehow, he is able to forgive her and raise the child as his own son. She never thought she would see Tanner again, but here he is now, needing her help as a PR person to get elected as a Senator. This is not a good time for Kasey. She is not only Tanner's only hope, but the only witness to a brutal murder. Now, her life is in an uproar between the circus of campaigning, relit fires of love, secrets, and the possibility that the killer is someone too close to home. ***** This heady mix of passion and danger zips along to an exciting and thrilling conclusion that will leave the reader breathless. *****
