Rating: Summary: Review from Scribe's World Review: 4 1/2 Stars from Scribe's World RAISING THE STAKES tackles a rough subject and makes it into a testament to the human spirit. Dawn is a meek heroine, who turns into a tigress for her loved ones and will do whatever is necessary to protect them. Gray carries around his own baggage, which can seem a bit forced at times, but in no way detracts from his yumminess. The secondary characters are fun, and I seriously hope that Keir gets his own book soon. Ms. Marton is a strong writer who breathes life into her book.
Rating: Summary: A Really Exciting Romance Review: I loved this book! The hero is the kind of man who knows how to make a woman feel protected and cherished. I knew this book was about the Baron family and I've read a couple of Sandra Marton's Baron books but not all of them. I wondered if the story would make sense without me having read all the books in the series. It does. The story is deep, touching and wonderful. I was just sorry to get to the last page.
Rating: Summary: Romantic Times Review Review: Reviewer Shannon Short says: Sandra Marton just keeps getting better with each and every book. This is a can't-put-it-down, powerful read that covers every emotion. Her vivid descriptions and use of imagery bring this story to life. Gray and Dawn are very likeable and sympathetic characters that have such an intense bond and chemistry that it leaps from the page. This is a definite must-read for the summer.
Rating: Summary: The Baron Series Comes to an End Review: This story was filled with passion and adventure, which came as no surprise to me. After reading so many of Sandra Marton's novels, I come to expect the best from her, and she always delivers. Gray and Dawn are two very fleshed out characters that you come to love. Their interaction with one another is dynamic! Sandra Marton is by far my favorite author. She always stirs feelings in me with her 3-dimensional characters. This book is right up there with all her other novels. I've read at least 20 of her books and I still can't get enough. Check out her other novels and be sure not to miss the rest of this series. I'm sorry it had to come to an end. But as an added bonus her next series is set up in this one. Don't miss the O'Connells!
