Summary: Politics, Gambling, Romance and More
Review: This is a story with a little suspense, a little romance, and a little politics that takes place over approximately two weeks. The story revolves around second grade teacher and child psychologist Julia Talbot and her favorite pupil, Brian. She helps him with baseball and even attends his games. Brian is the son of Stephen Stratford who is a senatorial candidate. Brian starts to become withdrawn. Julia is afraid that his father's demanding political life is taking its toll on Brian and she is not about to let that happen. Brian's Uncle Connor is close to his nephew and knows the real problems that are facing his brother. One night Connor gets a disturbing call from Brian's mother that she needs his help. Stephen has become involved in gambling and blackmail and now his family is being threatened. Connor comes to the rescue to keep things quiet from the press but when Brian goes away for a few days, Julia wont let it drop. Connor tries to reassure Julia that everything is fine and ends up distracting her with his charm. Julia keeps searching for answers and finds out too much. Will she be able to help Brian before it's too late?
The intensity of the romance was a little fast but had to be to go with the storyline. The suspense was good and the supporting cast of characters were great. I liked that the ending wasn't quite the standard formula. The epilogue was a little too saccharine sweet for me but most readers like fairytale endings.

Summary: Just skip the epilogue
Review: This is the story of a child who perceives the problem of his parents an that keep him down, is a different kind of story because of course that could be real, but in the other hand, as it says in the book "Marriage is not an eternal romance in a path full of roses." Anyone who is married knows that this is true, the problem is that when your children just see the problems, is when they have serious problems.
In the other hand, who wasn't in love with his/her teacher in second grade?
The book will keep you reading and it won't be out of the story at any time. but don't read the epilogue, don't worth it.

Summary: No Putting This One Down!
Review: This was a great read. I was hooked after the first couple of pages. The love everyone feels for Brian is clear, and the terror is felt through the pages when he turns up missing. I loved the way the characters were portrayed. Weaknesses were shown and each character had their own little battle, internally or physcially to overcome. Highly recommended! I could not put this book down.

Summary: A Great Read
Review: What can I say except that I love Andrea Kane. This is her second full length present day suspense romance. The story of Connor and Julia is fast paced, and the sexual tension between the two is incredible.

The storyline of just who is the "bad guy" will keep you guessing. Julia is Conners nephew's teacher. (Did you understand that) Anyhow she notices that his behavior is not the same. Instead of being full of life and energy he is now acting withdrawn and quite. Not the typical behaviour of a second grader. This is complicated by the fact that Brian's dad is the mayor of their town and is running for a senate seat. At first thinking that the campaigne might have something to do with his withdrawal she keeps her silence until she reads a paper of Brian's which leads he to a conversation with the Uncle (Connor) sparks fly right away.

Again the story is fast paced with plenty to keep you turning the pages. Plenty of romance, and Andrea is true to her characteriztion in the fact that she does not allow any of them to turn their backs on each of there own individual morals. It is a touching story. One I don't think you should miss.

Summary: Still trying to figure out...
Review: Where the romance and suspense were in this "romantic suspense". It took me over a week to read this book. The problems that happened in the plot were about as dangerous as a papercut. I just couldn't get involved with the characters. The mayor and brother of the hero (I use the term loosely) was an idiot, the heroine and hero weren't really in the book, I don't know why they fell in love because once they slept together, their relationship (if it could be called such) was nonexistent. The dialogue was like reading a soap opera. Bad guys are referred to as "goons", the word "shebang" was used, and I believe the one "bad guy" was a "slimeball" and "crook". The element of danger was never there for me, there was no romance, and the plot lacked everything. I'm very disappointed. I knew who the "bad guy" was from the start. The "climax" was over in about one paragraph. You knew they weren't going to get away with it, and the child had already been saved. As if you were ever in any doubt.
All in all, I had no idea what was going on half the time because the plot was so loose and I couldn't see because I was laughing so hard over the dialogue.
No Way Out? That's how I felt as I was reading. I skimmed the last few chapters. I didn't miss much. I've read other Andrea Kane...I'll keep reading, and hopefully find something better.
