Summary: Becomes apart of your heart
Review: It is easy sometimes for readers to forget what a good book really is. It is easy sometimes for us to accept the complacency and mediocracy that pours from the publishing world in a torrent of so-called "bestsellers" and "best yets" -- until a true voice with a marvelous story to tell sneaks in while nobody is looking. Kristin Hannah is just that voice; "On Mystic Lake" is just that story.

It isn't an easy book to read. It deals with divorce, alcoholism, and suicide. The trials and travails of Annie, Nick, and Izzy-bear as they deal with these issues will have you crying and despairing as they muck their way through -- it will have you laughing and rejoicing when they triumph in the end. But this isn't a novel about issues and that's why it works. Their story captures your fancy on page one. It becomes a part of your heart by the end.

Summary: WONDERFUL!!!!
Review: What a fabulous soap opera! Oh- the different emotions this book wrung out of me. But even as I realized it was as formula as a Made-For-TV movie, it didn't stop me from enjoying every page. Oh, Annie! Oh, Nick! Oh, Izzy-Bear!! An emotional rollercoaster but an unforgettable story. Get your kleenex ready - Read and enjoy!!

Summary: I could not read this book fast enough!
Review: This was my first Kristin Hannah book. As a matter of fact, I had never heard of Ms. Hannah before. I was in a book store and saw the cover looking at me, begging to be picked up. I read the entire book the night I brought it home. I felt Annie, Nick, and Izzie's pain and joy over and over. Ms. Hannah did a wonderful job of making these 3 characters come to life for me. I rode back to Mystic Lake in that car with Annie, and even though the book ended, what happened next was perfectly layed out in my mind. I have passed this book along to everyone I know and it has been returned each time with rave reviews. I have since bought all of Ms. Hannah's books and have enjoyed each one of them so much. I understand that she is coming out with a new one in the fall. I can hardly wait! Thanks Ms. Hannah for an exceptional book!

Summary: A melting your heart and healing story line!
Review: I have passed this book on to help replentish the faith of beautiful people with a serious problem. An eye opener for those in need of an eye opener. Recommended reading for those with children. Recommended reading for older children who experience life with an drinker. An eye opener for those who we can get to read it before drinking becomes a problem. A reminder that unconditional love is all you really need. On Mystic Lake was one of the best books I have ever read. It is a very easy read. You don't want to put it down even after you are done. Pass it on for continued life. My copy is now in the hands of a recovering alcoholic with a 5 year old boy. Kirsten Hannah writes every bit as good as Nora Roberts.

Summary: Deep, real and wonderful!!!!!!!
Review: The plot has all the makings of a true story. I should know, since I had something similar happen to me. I also went in the same direction as the character, and eventually found true happiness! Any woman who has known love and lost love (not to mention facing a mid life crisis) needs to read this book! It covers all of the emotions you want to feel when reading a GREAT book! Can't wait for more from this author!!

Summary: This is a WONDERFUL book and I know I'll read it again!
Review: I've read quite a few books this summer but this is by far my favorite! I'd never read a book by Hannah before, but the reason I came to this site was to see what else she'd written so I could read other stories like this one. It was so great!! It was passed on to me by mom and then I passed it along to my mother-in-law...it's one of those you want everyone to read b/c you loved it so much!
