Summary: Wonderful!
Review: Christina has done it again! Her wit and humor, as well as her erotic sensuality, make this book extremely difficult to put down. I enjoy it when authors write the story of a character you got to know in another book. Dominic of Sereminia is the brother of King Danior from "The Runaway Princess", it was truely wonderful to read his story.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Still a good read despite hero
Review: Crown Princess Laurentia knew it was her duty to choose a suitable husband, in order to produce an heir to the throne of Bertinierre. But she had been down the matrimonial road once before, and it had been disastrous. Now at twenty-five, she is a widow, and still a virgin. Her father, King Jerome, has invited potential suitors from far and wide, hoping someone will capture his daughter's attention. He wants nothing more than love and happiness for her. Laurentia has found no one the least bit interesting, until she meets Prince Dominic.

Prince Domonic is the illegitimate brother of the king of neighboring Sereminia. Not only that, but he's a mercenary, and the black sheep of the family. Due to recent threats to the throne, Laurentia's father hires Dominic to protect his daughter from harm. But who will protect Laurentia from the undeniable desire Dominic elicits from her, despite her efforts to escape it? And will he prove to be the one love she has been searching for, or will his debt of honor end in betrayal of the beautiful princess?

This is the sequel to THE RUNAWAY PRINCESS which I've yet to read. While this was an enjoyable story, it wasn't one of my favorites by Ms. Dodd. Mostly due to the hero being rather harsh and brooding, with a hidden agenda of betrayal. From what I understand, Dominic was introduced in the first book, and he was far from nice in it. Laurentia is a likeable, intelligent, and strong willed heroine. There are moments of humor here and the love scenes are quite sensual. As for a recommendation, if you're a Dodd fan like me, I'd recommend reading this one. However, if you've never read anything by this author, I'd recommend beginning with the Governess Bride Series, or THAT SCANDALOUS EVENING, rather than this selection.

Summary: CHRISTINA DODD TELL THE TRUTH! WHO WROTE THIS BOOK?
Review: Dump a Christina Dodd book after 75 pages? Who wrote this sappy, stupid book? And what scared literary agent is killing herself writing these unbelievable reviews? Don't bother reading this one. It will be a very long time before I purchase another Dodd book. (I've read every other book she's published) This writing is too simple and immature for Christina. Sorry, Christina. :( PS How in the world does this average 4 stars? Check it out. Do the math!

Summary: DISAPPOINTED AGAIN!
Review: I can only repeat the review I gave "The Runaway Princess"....If this is the first Christina Dodd book you have read please don't give up. I have read so many of her books and this is not up to her standards. Please read "Candle in the Window" or "Move Heaven and Earth" and especially my favorite "A Well Favored Gentleman" before you judge her writing.

Summary: disappointing bordering on insulting
Review: i devoured this book last night and was so freaked out by the end i came onto amazon to see what others were saying. i usually love ms. dodd, but i felt an alien finished the book that began so wonderfully. if a man betrays you and your country, lands you (a princess) in jail for a week, and foments a war, it is NOT romantic to have sex (in jail) upon his reappearance and forgive him the day after the fighting stops. it is insulting to any intelligent woman to consider this scenario acceptable. made the heroine seem worse than shallow and the hero smarmy. his motivations were so weak and his "redemptions" weaker in the scope of what he did. what tripe.

Summary: Abosolutly Terrific!!
Review: I did something with Someday My Prince that I have never done with any other novel that I know of. As soon as a finished the last chapter I flipped back to the beginning and started to re-read the book all over again. Wonderful doesn't cut it, terrific doesn't either, this book was magnificant! I take my hat off to any author that makes me cry while reading(something I rarely do). Right now the book has the honored spot in my bathroom so if I get bored on the toilet I can read my favorite passages. This is a deffinit keeper and I defy the reader who says they get bored while reading it. Buy it Someday My Prince, you won't regret it!

Summary: Not as good as her other work.
Review: I found it extremely difficult to suspend disbelief in the matter of Dom, who was first introduced in Dodd's last book. It seemed as though his personality changed too swiftly in some aspects to be remotely believable and the chemistry between the two leads was not as strong as others of Dodd's books. A pleasant story but not one of her best.

Summary: CHRISTINA DODD TELL THE TRUTH! WHO WROTE THIS BOOK?
Review: I found many faults with this book, beginning with the first of my observations. It lacked any romance!!! Yes, the book contained some intrique and danger but lacked the romance, the wit, the strong confident hero and the headstrong willful heroine. Neither the hero or heroine were particularly likeable characters and the plot and the 'secret' were unbelievable. I may have found enjoyment reading about the hero if he had been raised in the West, particularly North America, for his language usage was that of an American and not of a European. But I found him a slimy worm of a hero and found no reason why she, the princess, should open her arms to him in the end.
