Summary: romantic suspense? yeah
Review: "Slow Hands" is a romantic suspense tale that keeps you wondering when the bad guy will show up next. Alec is "tainted" in my eyes because of they way he left Keira the first time. Keira was a little blinded by love, but who hasn't been there, right? Lauren Bach gives us a fast-read with some steamy scenes. Not real deep but an enjoyable read nonetheless.

Summary: Another Winner!
Review: A great suspense plot and hot romance in this second book by Lauren Bach. As in her first book, Lone Rider, the characters here are so real you feel like you know them. A real page turner!

Summary: Another winner!
Review: A story about second chances, redemption, and danger. Returning to Freedom, Arkansas, means facing the woman Alec Dempsey once loved and left behind. A familiar tale, maybe, but Bach's way of telling is highly entertaining. The hero and heroine in SLOW HANDS are worthy opponents, the bad guy is creepy, and the secondary characters in the small town of Freedom are hilarious and touching. A slight warning: the love scenes are very graphic, especially the scene where Alec gets tied to a bed. I loved them but my aunt found them a little too scenic.

Summary: Slow Hands - fast pulse
Review: Alex Dempsey did not want to return to Freedom, Arkansas. He had put all of this behind him ten years ago. He had been determined to find a life for himself outside of the small town of Freedom. Even if it meant leaving Keira.

He was at least content his life as an ATF agent. Until they assigned him the task of protecting Keira from a would be killer. Until he had to face seeing her again. He could do this, he told himself. He was over her. Wasn't he?

For Keira, seeing tall, sexy Alec Dempsey again was something she had hoped never to have to do. What had possessed her agree to this crazy scheme? Saving her grandfather, that's what. Now she was stuck with it. Could she stay out of his arms this time? Could she keep him out of her heart?

If you like romances that sizzle and pop, you'll love Slow Hands and you'll turn page after page long into the night. It is definitely a keeper and one you'll tell your friends to read, although you won't be willing to lend them your copy!!

If you haven't read Lauren's other book, Lone Rider, pick it up too. You can't go wrong with Lauren Bach.

Summary: Not as good as her first...
Review: But still an entertaining read. In fact, I really enjoyed it, even if it did slow in sections. It just didn't seem to have the bite that Lone Rider did.
The story was slow to take off, and I thought that the female lead, Keira, was way too easy on Alec. She forgave him too easily for leaving her all those years before. Yet, I still really enjoyed it. The first sixty or so pages were hard to get into, but it definitely picked up, so persevere; it gets good at the end.
I truly enjoy Ms. Bach's books because her plots are completely suspenseful and totally out there. They may not ever happen in real life, but what's the point of reading fiction if you want real life? So give the book a chance. It's still a great read and if you haven't read Lone Rider, get it right away!

Summary: One Hot Book!
Review: I didn't think I'd like this one, because I don't like second-chance type stories, but Slow Hands surprised me. The unusual characters, with their small-town lives and worries, reminded me of people I grew up with. (Too bad none of the guys at my high school were as sexy as Alec, though!) There was enough tension to keep me guessing to the end. Overall, a fast read with some of the best love scenes I've ever read. Also recommend Cherry Adair's Hide and Seek.

Summary: This book better than her first.
Review: I had a few problems with this book. Ten years ago Alec asks Keira to elope with him the next day. He never shows, she doesn't hear a word from him until he comes back to "protect" her. He never really explains why he left her, especially the way he did. And he doesn't really apologize to her or grovel, which he should be doing! He also never explains about his marriage and she doesn't ask! And what was the point of Scarlet?

But all in all this was a very good book. I liked Keira and the way she handled her business. Franny was a hoot! And the bedroom scenes between Alex and Keira were so hot!! Will definitely read more than once!

Summary: ANOTHER WINNER FROM BACH
Review: I loved LONE RIDER and was anxious to see how Ms. Bach would follow-up. Have no fear! I think the plot is actually better in this book than her first. Well, her first book did have that motorcycle/macho man thing. . . In SLOW HANDS you get great characters - faults and all, sizzle in the romance department, danger, suspense. . .all in one package. Can't wait for her next book. A KEEPER. You might want to try out Glenna McReynolds' RIVER OF EDEN, too.
