Summary: A Husband's View
Review: My wife is the author of this book, but she will not let me read anything until it is actually published! Strangely enough, when I finally did get to read Broken Vows (alone on a two hour plane flight where she couldn't stop me), I was pleasantly surprised. It isn't half bad. In fact it is damn good. I would recommend it to anyone trapped on a plane for two hours. No seriously, it is a good read.

Summary: Absolutely wonderful!
Review: Romance novels as great as this are rare treasures. From the first page I was pulled into this novel and I never wanted it to end. Broken Vows is a beautifully written romance-fantasy crossover that has everything... excitement, mystery, eroticism, heartbreak, betrayal... Although this is classified as a romance novel, it thankfully lacks the cloying sentiments and purple prose of a typical romance... yet the language and descriptions are rich and vivid. I highly recommend Broken Vows, the first installment of a three book series, to any fan of the fantasy genre who likes a bit of spice mixed into their tales of warriors and sorcery. Now, onto book #2!

Summary: A fantasy romace that is quite excellent
Review: The Ghebite forces led by General Tulkhan defeat the mystical T'En to take control of Fair Isle, a place they ruled for six-hundred years. Amongst the captives is the last surviving female T'En, Imoshen. Even as his own Elite Guard fears her and his priestesses would declare his prisoner void of a soul, Tulkhan can see the intelligence in her eyes. Still, he too worries that the powerful T'En will capture his spirit.

The only other T'En survivor is Imoshen's betrothed, Reothe, who leads a counterrevolutionary group. Imoshen fears that Reothe's insurrection will only lead to more deaths. However, if she joins forces with Tulkhan, she sees a lasting peace, but at a high personal cost. Though neither one trusts the other, both begin to fall in love as they work as a team trying to end the bloodshed.

BROKEN VOWS is a very entertaining romantic fantasy that will provide immense pleasure to sub-genre fans. The story line centers on the conflict and attraction between the two strong lead personalities. The supporting players bring the otherworldliness of the plot to such a vivid degree of life that it makes this tale quite unique for genre lovers. Though much is not answered (as is very common with fantasy novels), readers will want to peruse the remaining two novels in Cory Daniels' enjoyable "the Last T'En" trilogy.

Summary: Broken Vows
Review: This is a great book! Part science fiction and part romance, you feel like you are entering a new world and can't wait to find out what happens in the sequel! I will definitely keep this author on my watch list!

Summary: fantastic!
Review: When I started reading, I thought it would turn out to be the typical type of fantasy with lots of magic, wizards or mages and stuff like that. Instead, the story was from the perspective of a female(ok, maybe because the author is a she) but the tangible emotions between Imoshen and Tulkhan was so 'breathtaking' that I could imagine the tension and all the feelings the two of them had, holding in check because both characters were afraid of being hurt by the counterpart. I'll definitely read the 2nd book of the trilogy when it comes out! All in all, the fantasy element is very little while the romance is good, definitely more suitable for people who likes romance. So don't hold your breath if you are a fantasy novel fan.
