Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Engrossing Review: Paullina Simons has done it again. Like Tully, I couldn't put down The Bronze Horseman. From the moment one begins reading, the depth she brings to her characters and the pictures she paints of Lenningrad during the War are haunting and unforgettable.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Moving Love Story Review: Many romance books follow a very predicable story line. "The Bronze Horseman", however, is an original. Set during a fascinating time in modern history, the seige of Leningrad during WWII, the characters and story are very well developed. The reader's heart breaks for the star-crossed lovers, Tatiana and Alexander. The book also gives us a very detailed portrayal of everyday life in the Soviet Union. I shed more than a few tears while reading this book. I am anxious to read the sequel, but the publisher, Harper Collins, has not decided whether to release it in the U.S. The sequel has been released under the title "Tatiana and Alexander" in the U.K., and as "The Bridge to Holy Cross" in Australia. Join me in contacting Harper Collins and urge them to release the sequel in the U.S.!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Most entrapping book I've ever read Review: I've read this book thirteen times, need I say more? Beautiful, yet disturbingly horrific at the same time. Sets a whole new meaning to the term 'love and war'.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: THE SEQUEL Review: Was given 'The Bronze Horseman' by my older sister to read and loved it but wanted to know more, I didn't want it to end for the characters like that, so I was overjoyed when my sister bought the sequel home to read its called 'The Bridge to Holy Cross', it picks up where we left off, and one piece of advice, don't give up on anyone, its full of twists and turns. You have to read it.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Awesome Love Story! Review: I picked up this book in the supermarket, mainly because I thought the cover was attractive. But when I read that it was set in WWII Leningrad, I had to buy it. The back copy and cover certainly lives up to the prose. What a fantastic read!... I couldn't put it down. Alexander and Tatiana will live on in my memory forever. I've heard there's going to be a sequel, so I'm hoping they'll get their happy ending. I can't wait to read more books by Paullina Simons.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The best novel ever! Review: Anyone who has not read this book really should read it! It is by far the best novel I have ever read. It has romance, intrigue, suspense and action. Yes, it maybe by long, but you do not notice it at all! I was so immersed in the story of Tatiana and Alexander that I stayed up till 5am to finish the book! Russia is brought to life for me in this novel and after I read it, I wanted to learn more about the country. This is not a book to be missed. You will keep on thinking about the characters well after the bittersweet last page. Fret not, those of you who have read it. There is a sequel out called "The Bridge to Holy Cross" (Australian title) or "Tatiana and Alexander" (the U.K. title). Preorder it on amazon.co.uk. It does not seem to be published in North America yet, but I can hardly wait to receive my copy in the mail and relive the ongoing story of Tatia and Shura. Go read this book! It is worth your time and money! :) Enjoy!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: If you loved Outlander, then this book is for you... Review: Emotionally gripping, intense, deep and heartfelt. Death hiding in every corner. A love that survives any and everything. This book has it all. It is perfect. It is one of THOSE rare books, the ones that you know you will never forget, you will never sell to the UBS, you will reread over and over. The characterization is phenominal, the historical setting flawless, it is a sublime read.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The epitome of a love and war story of epic proportions! Review: I passed this book by once, and I can see that was a very stupid thing to do. I finally picked it up and once I did, I was spellbound by what it contained. The characters, the story, the writing and most of all, the emotion. This is the first book that has moved me enough that I found myself crying and worrying for the characters and their plights. I finished reading this book 4 days ago, and I'm still haunted by the characters. The only thing more exciting than re-reading this book is knowing that there is a sequel coming out this year (that's what I read somewhere anyway). It's books like this that make people start book clubs!
