Summary: Recommended
Review: This book is a keeper, a light and funny historical romance set in Victorian England. Meet the intrepid heroine, Letty Potts, a part-time musical hall actress and con-artist who takes opportunity by the hand upon arriving in the backwoods town of Little Bidewell to masquerade as Lady Agatha Whyte, a high society wedding coordinator. However, her attempts to make a quick escape from Little Bidewell are foiled as she becomes increasingly drawn into the lives of its citizens, especially that of the local magistrate, the very serious and reserved Sir Elliott March (He's admirable without being boring). This book is genuinely amusing without being a mindless piece of fluff. There are a few events in the book which rather strain credulity, i.e., our heroine's ability to climb buildings while in evening wear during the middle of a rain storm for one thing and an over-the-top happy reconcilation scene at the end. However, the humor is never silly and it's never at the expense of the character's intelligence. Believable characters and sparkling dialogue help set this book apart and make it a delightfully entertaining reading experience.

Summary: Not to be missed!
Review: This book is more reminiscent of her earlier books. The humor is back, the characters don't overact, the heroine is competent, the hero is yummy, the ending could have several diffent possibilities so it keeps you guessing and it's a touching story. This is an author you buy on name alone and will not be dissapointed with.

Summary: Elliot, be mine!
Review: This book is my new all time favorite. It was so romantic but really fun, too. Elliot March is the man of my dreams. He's sexy and so serious but knows how to trade the wit with Letty. Letty is one of the best heroines I've read this year because she's one of the only heroines I've read whose got a life before the book starts. This was the first book I've read by Brockaway but it won't be my last.

Summary: Excellent love story
Review: This is my first Connie Brockway book, so I have no basis of comparison, but I found it fabulous. And I just got on Amazon to buy a few more. What I love about this story is that it's the guy that really falls head over heels in love and the two main characters are very passionate. Brockway also includes a really great supporting cast that adds the right touch of humor on top of a very high sexual tension. Really entertaining and romantic, I had the day off and finished it all at once. Almost dissapointing to come to the end and have to put it down..Brockway is a new favorite next to Julie Garwood, Catherine Coulter and Judith McNaught.
