Summary: I liked it a lot
Review: I can see where the comparisons to Eve and Roarke from the In Death series come in, but I enjoyed this book on Allie and Jonah's strengths alone.Allison is a cop who has to investigate murders and she goes undercover, posing at a waitress, at Jonah Blackhawk's posh nightclub. There, a series of characters - likeable and unlikeable - are well defined and add motive and strength to the book. Jonah and Allie are attracted to each other from the get-go, and when Allie is threatened she moves in with him, much to her father's chagrin. She is also instrumental in bringing Jonah back to her family, something he has always refused, because he's always felt he is not good enough. All in all, this is a very enjoyable book, and I have bought the rest of the Night books to enjoy.

This book has romance, suspense, intrigue, and mystery. The characters overcome the obstacles and make their way toward each other. A wonderful (if short) read and I highly recommend it.

Summary: Another Winner!
Review: I love Nora Roberts! I found the book, read it in 2 hours and wanted to read it again! It was fabulous to visit with a part of the Night Tales group again. Nobody does continuing characters better. It was such an easy read that I was finished with the book WAY before I wanted to be! Keep writing Nora, and I'll keep buying!

Review: I normally go for Nora Roberts full length novels. But this Night tale Silhouette was quick and fun to read. Nice to see a strong female detective as the main character. If you like romance, and like her J D Robb books, you'll love this one. Another winner!

Review: I once read that Nora Roberts can do more in a short story format then most can do in long form. Boy were they right! This book is packed with fun, real characters, excitment, action and a very romantic love story between Allison and Jonah. A must read for fans of Nora!

Review: I read "Night Shield" before "Night Tales". I like it so much that after finishing this book, I went straight out to buy "Night Tales". I feel that this is a good short romance story. The two main characters were Jonah and Allison (Ally for short). If you have read "Night Shift" before, you would find that Ally was actually Boyd Fletcher and Cilla O'Roarke's daughter. Jonah was a tough guy with a soft heart, the kind of guy that many women dream of marrying, I guess. Ally was a woman with a strong character who knew very well what she wanted. Both were likeable characters, just as many other characters in the story. Jonah was a successful businessman who opened a few popular nightclubs. He owed his success to Boyd Fletcher, who helped change Jonah's life from a bad one to a liveable one when Jonah was growing up. When a series of burglaries were tied to one of Jonah's clubs, Blackhawk, Jonah readily agreed to help Boyd with these cases. But Jonah never suspected that the detective assigned to go undercover at his club could be so gorgeous. Ally was the detective assigned to be an undercover, posing as a waitress, at Blackhawk. You can see the sparks flying between the two from then. This is a book with a blend of romance and action. The blend is quite balance with just enough romance and action at the same time. There is also a hint of humour throughout the book. Hope those of you who want to give this book a try will love it. Enjoy!

Summary: 5th Installment in the "Night" Series
Review: It's Nora. It's good. I really liked Jonah and Ally and their chemistry together. And after reading the previous reviews, yes, this is reminiscent of Roake and Eve. I love them also! This is a fast read with humor, passion, family and action. Secondary characters were very good also and as a previous reviewer said for a 'short' novel this packs a lot of information. I read Night Tales first and would advise you to also. Not to follow the story, but you will make it convenient for yourself to start that book immediately when you have finished this one. So, just make your life simplier...read Night Tales first. Then sit back and enjoy Night Shields.
