Summary: A really cool idea
Review: I thought this book started out as one of the coolest ideas I had seen in a long, long time. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the story, and the order in which the characters were introduced, this one book could have actually been three in a series and probably would have worked better that way. I felt very close to the first couple, because I had been with them through the whole story. It would have been ok to carry this book on to a second one an introduce the second couple, etc. That way there would have been more character development. As it was, the third couple's trials and tribulations basically meant nothing to me. I didn't get enough time to like them and feel the sparks before the the climax happened and the book ended! It would be so cool if the author rewrote this book and either made it an epic of 1000 pages... or a series of 3 books with the real climax happening at the end of the 3rd story. (Hey it works for Diana Gabaldon.) Each couple's story could have been strong enough to stand alone. It's still a cool book though and a really unusual supernatural manifestation.

Summary: Really Out of the Ordinary
Review: I totally enjoyed this unusual book with its three couples as heros and heroines from different ages. It was so well done that I could connect to all the characters--each had a distinct personality. Though Cailean was my favorite heroine, the three were nearly equally divided among my friends' favorites. Choosing among the three heroes was not an easy task; I guess I could take any of them.

Summary: A saga and a series all in one!
Review: I've been a fan of Donna Kauffman's books since reading her Loveswepts novels years ago... and here her gift for creating memorable characters and roller-coaster exciting plots shines though. 3 heros! 3 heroines! And oh so satisfying. I can't wait for the others in the Legand seies. Ms. Kauffman, you are one fantastic writer!

Summary: 6 strangers, bound by destiny, and a key
Review: If only men like these MacKinnon men existed, women wouldn't have to invent them. Donna Kauffman does such a good job on this story! It is really three tales in one, each one as good as the next. I haven't read any of Mrs. Kauffman's other books, but after reading this one, I certainly intend to. If you love books on timetravel, scottish history, and mystery you will love this book!

Summary: Couldn't put it down !
Review: It was such a well done, wonderful, captivating read that I hated to have it end. Thank you Ms. Kauffman for a "keeper".

Summary: This is a must read!
Review: My only regret about reading Donna's book was there was an ending. I honestly did not want to stop reading about the MacKinnons and the Clarens. Donna did a wonderful job of weaving the three stories together into one wonderful, beautiful story. Her next book can't be published soon enough for me.

Summary: Big disappointment
Review: My romance novel reading has slowly petered off the last 4 years to the point where I rarely read them anymore. And for a vorcious reader who only read romance, that is a huge deal. So when I saw the uniformly rave reviews for this book, I decided to pick it up hoping that it would bring back a little bit of that excitement I used to have for romance novels. Boy was I disappointed. First, I never felt that I 'knew' any of the 6 characters very well. I guess one of the drawbacks of having 3 romances in one book is that you really can't get too in depth with any one of them. Second, they all fell in love with their respective partners in about 2 days. Third, I felt these women were too easily accepting of the fact that they were involved with men from 300 years ago. I like a nice paranormal romance as much as the next person (otherwise I wouldn't have even bothered to pick up this book) but it got a bit too much for me when Delaney, the last of the three Clairen women, didn't even blink when confronted with the fact that she was in the presence of a ghost and an immortal man. I thought this book had a lot of potential and the idea of it is really interesting. But I think the execution of it was cliche and boring and the ending was both illogial and too pat.

Summary: Magical, Enchanting, and full of Suspense
Review: The Legend MacKinnon is a wonderfully written novel. It brings back the world of the faeries. Three 17th century Highlanders are cursed into purgetory until they right the wrongs done. Duncan, (my favorite) has died along with his betrothed in North Carolina after she tried to avoid the marriage by running away. He didnt care about her feelings just wanted peace between their clans. Because of his selfishness he has become a ghost who every Novemeber returns to the mortal world for 31 days. This never bothered him until Maggie Claren comes along. She needs him, he comes to realize he needs her too....... Rory, the immortal, has been roaming the world for 300years trying to find a way to "die" When he meets THE CLAREN KEY aka Cailean Claren, he is not sure if he really wants to die or become mortal again. Alexander, the time traveller, has been trying to find the portal that will take him back to 17th century. He returns to his castle in Scotland to get some rest only to find Delaney Claren and her two cousins looking in the Castle for the "key" 300 yrs ago Rory had been cursed by his betrothed who was had otherworld powers. since then all MacKinnon/Claren couples have come to horrid endings. These three cousins(heroines) come together to find the Legend and see if they can reverse it. This book is so good you wont want to put it down. Ms. Kauffman draws the reader in like a magnet. You wont want to miss it.
