Summary: Recommended
Review: I have to agree with other reviewers that this is not Ms. McNaught's best. It took an unusually long time to get the story set up. But once the stage was set, it was a real page turner. There is no one who can set up a love scene like this author. Just wish she would turn out books a little faster.

Summary: Great Book
Review: This was the 1st book I have read of Judith McNaught's, on a referral from friend. Awesome. A great romance with a mysterious twist!!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not her best, but still a good read
Review: Leigh Kendall has reached the top. She has a phenomenal Broadway acting career, she's been married for over a decade to the man she loves, Logan Manning, and they're getting ready to buy their dream house on a stretch of mountain property. Then, on the eve of her latest performance, Leigh is almost killed in a car accident on the way to see their new property.

What starts out as a horrible car accident worsens when no one can find Logan Manning. He was supposed to be waiting for Leigh at the cabin, but a week goes by and no one has heard from him. Leigh is frantic, and the media doesn't help with stories about her husband's many infidelities. And when her husband's murdered body is found, Leigh is the biggest suspect.

Michael Valente, a man from her past, stands by Leigh's side as both of them are investigated in Logan's murder. Michael has waited years to have the opportunity to be with Leigh. So, he'll do anything he has to, to keep her safe and free from police suspicion.

Someone to Watch Over Me has a secondary love story between two of the cops investigating the murder. Sam and Mack were a lot of fun, and often entertained me more than the primary love story.

Judith McNaught has penned another great story that satisfied this reader. Fans of Perfect and Paradise won't find the same deep emotional connection to the characters in Someone to Watch Over Me, but it's still a good read.

Summary: Good romantic suspense
Review: After a brilliant performance in her new Braodway play Leigh Kendall heads for her husband's new upstate retreat but instead wakes up in a hospital room seriously injured and unable to locate her husband, architect Logan Manning. Distraught, Leigh turns to the police only to find herself under suspicion and the department's efforts less than adequate. Tenacious detective Malcolm Shrader and novice detective Sam(antha) Littleton are not happy to be assigned to this case. They assure Leigh that Logan is probably temporarily trapped somewhere due to the after effects of the huge blizzard that contributed to Leigh's accident. It is not until Michael Valente, a recent business acquaintance of her missing husband with suspected criminal ties, shows an unusual interest in Leigh that the police begin to intensively investigate. Logan's frozen body is finally found with what at first appears to be a self inflicted bullet wound. The medical examiner quickly determines that Logan was murdered and the investigators focus on Leigh and Valente, who seems to be watching over Leigh. The investigation and the romances wind to an exciting conclusion.

McNaught's superb writing skills and well drawn characters and plot make this a book you will not want to miss.

Summary: ANOTHER SPELLBINDER
Review: Veteran voice performer Jan Maxwell gives an accomplished reading to this popular author's latest. Judith McNaught won a host of new fans with "Night Whispers," and "Someone To Watch Over Me" offers the same delicious melange of love and suspense.

Beautiful and talented Leigh Kendall relishes her life - she's a star on Broadway and married to a doting, wealthy husband, Logan Manning. So eager is Logan to spoil Leigh that he decides to build the perfect home for them. He has found a cottage with a mountain view which he intends to make their own.

However, when Leigh tries to reach the cottage for the first time she is lost in a deadly winter storm. She is injured in the blizzard and knows nothing until she finds herself in a hospital bed. When she asks for Logan, authorities tell her that he has disappeared.

Leigh's search for her beloved husband reveals much about him that she did not know. In fact, there is much that none of us would wish to know.

McNaught has crafted another spellbinder.

Summary: Someone to Watch Over Me: A Novel
Review: I was not disappointed at all. I LOVED this book. I loved the build up to the plot and the lengthy investigation that followed. Not since Paradise and Prefect has a book entertained, thrilled, and satisfied me as this one has. Five stars are not enough to describe the brilliant of Judith McNaught. I have narrowed my book buying down to a dozen authors but Ms. McNaught will and always remains #1. I wait in eager anticipation for the next book. My only regret is that they don't come more frequently. BRAVO. WELL DONE!

Summary: My first McNaught
Review: Someone To Watch Over Me is the first Judith McNaught book I have ever read, but I assure you it will not be my last. I love a good mystery and have no qualms about reading more pages to find one. This book is not for the Harlequin Intrigue-er, but for the serious romantic who loves a real mystery. I was surprised again and again. And the dialogue! My God, she is a genius. Then the love scenes -- whoa. Not too much, but definitely enough. Michael Valente and Leigh Kendall are fabulous characters, as are Mack and Sam. I would recommend this book to anyone who would listen. Grab a copy and enjoy, but don't think you can put it down and get back to it, it was too riveting for me to even try! I was up all night finishing it. Kudos to Mrs. McNaught! Carol Leuchovius

Summary: M Ferrie
Review: After the delay in the publication, I couldn't wait for this book to arrive, but what a disappointment.

The characters lacked Ms McNaught's normal depth and humour. Too much time was spent on the Police investigation and not enough with the lives of the main chatacters.

How I wish she would forget about trying to branch into mystery writing and return to her normal style of romantic novels.

Summary: If I could give it six stars, I would!
Review: In Someone to Watch Over Me, Judith Mcnaught combines passion and intrigue to create of the most superbly crafted stories I have ever had the pleasure of devouring...and devour it I did. The twist and turns will have you wondering if *you* are not, in fact, the actual suspect. Readers are also treated to two fabulous romances, including one between a secondary couple who will knock your socks off. As another treat, devout McNaught enthusiast will adore the return of Joe O'hara and Courtney Maitland.

We have come to expect greatness from Judith McNaught, and she delivers it on every level with Someone to Watch Over Me.

Read it. Love it. Then do it all over again. It's even better the second time around.

Summary: Worth the Wait
Review: I have been waiting for this book for almost 2 years. I enjoyed this book as I have enjoyed all her books. I loved her character Michael Valente. He is as smooth as silk. Any woman would want him. I like how the author gives you history on her characters and then ties the histories to the present. Leigh Kendall Manning is a character that made you can feel her pain and betrayal. What I like about McNaught's heroines is that they have backbone and when pushed, they fight back. Ms McNaught, please don't make me wait another 2 years for your next book.
