Summary: 5 STAR BOOK .........STORM BY B.E. JENKINS
Review: Through The Storm is a prime example of what historical romance is really meant to be. It is for all die hard romantics and for those who are just looking for something different. The historical perspective is amazing in allowing for those who didn't know much about slavery in the 1800's get a wide view of it from a former slave and from a free man. The author truly did her research for this novel and I give her a 10 for a bibliography at the end of the book. BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: This is another excellent book by Beverly Jenkins
Review: Through The Storm is another wonderful book from Beverly Jenkins. This book catches the readers up on the characters in Indigo.

Sable is a young woman escaping from her new owner. She meets Raimond LeVeq at one of the slave camps the Union has set up. Raimond is in charge of the camp. He is captivated by Sable, but at first she does not feel the same.

Raimond and Sable do finally begin a relationship, but Sable is caught up in not being taken back to the plantation and leaves with her new friends.

Raimond meets Sable again as the woman his mother wants him to marry. From this point on, Raimond is in trouble. It does not help that he only wants Sable to fulfill the provisions of his grandfather's will, that his brothers and his mother are in love with Sable.

Raimond finally admits that he is in love with Sable, and has to take teasing from his good friend Galeno.

This book is a good read and the history that Beverly always includes in her books on add t! o the story.

Summary: Raimond's Back and Sable's Got Him
Review: Through the Storm is worth the two-year wait after we first met Raimond LeVeq in Indigo. He is still "all that." Sable Fontaine is a perfect match for Raimond. He has found his queen and gladly broken his vow never to fall in love.

Summary: EXCELENT,WELL WRITTEN AND MAKES YOU WANT ALL THE MEN.
Review: When Beverly write a story, she sucks you right into her books. Whenever I read a portion of any of her books, when I get through reading it I have to check the cloths that I am wearing because I feel like I just escaped from someone. I also feel like I just made love to Raymond or one of his brothers. I feel like I have been on a journey with Beverly and her characters. If only she could write more books. I want to read something by Beverly once a month.

Summary: EXCITING!!! TASTEFULLY WRITTEN!!! COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN!!!
Review: When I picked up Through the Storm from the bookstore and read the back cover I screamed for joy. When I read that the story was about Raimond LeVeq from Indigo my heart was racing! I read nonstop for a day and a half. Beverly Jenkins just gets better and better. Her characters are smart, funny and interesting. Just as Sable was the queen so is Beverly Jenkins. African-American history and romance only gets better when Beverly Jenkins writes it.

Summary: Well Written Romance!!
Review: Wow!! This was another splendid romance written by Mrs. Jenkins. I am an avid reader of romance novels and Beverly Jenkins is at the top of my list. I must say that African American women everywhere should feel truly blessed to have such a gifted writer within our time. The romance in the novel was sizziling, and passionate. It gave me goose bumps and made me wish that I could conjure up a Leveq look-alike. The history was astounding and informative. Sable and Raimond made a terrific couple, despite their differences. It surely took a large heart for the Leveq's to take in three homeless children. It took me by suprise to find out that the characters Galen and Hester appeared throughout the novel as well. I have read all of Mrs. Jenkin's novels and they just keep getting better and better. I can't wait for Mrs. jenkins to come to the Atlanta area for a book signing tour. There are two questions that I have for Mrs. Jenkins before I leave. Where do you find the men built like Adonis to pose for your cover? and When is the next novel coming out? Until next time, Keep up the good work !!!
