Rating: Summary: Through the Storm Review: First Beverly as always you write good books and Through the Storm was good. I liked the idea of knowing what happened to Raimond LeVeq from his character in "Indigo". Having the story line allow the chance to catch up on Hester and Gaylen was nice. I like the way you brought the two old friends back together. With all your books I am able to really see the charactors, sites and sounds. The LeVeq brothers are quite a brewed of "Brats" . The story gave new insite to yet another time period in our history. I really like the Black African Queens story line and the information you offer on how they were treated in captivity not to mention how they were protected. I have one question how do you come up with the titles for your books? "Night Song" and "Through the Storm" Why the titles for the books? I do not seem to be able to put the title with whats going on in the story of the books. Please give me some insite on that.

Rating: Summary: a definite must read Review: I always enjoy when characters you have met in one story(Indigo) are so intriguing, they deserve their own (in this case Raimond Le Veq ). As usual BJ did not disappoint. A well written story with the usual steamy romance is what you will find in the story of Raimond and Sable. I was especially delighted with Sable's history as a descendant of Queens and a Queen herself. And I thought that it brought a certain closure, that after previous Queens coming to tragic ends (Sable's mother and grandmother), that she could find happiness. Additonally, it was nice to see Raimond put through his paces(especially after teasing Galen so much in Indigo)
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: I am a new Beverly Jenkin's fan. I loved this book. Great plot and character development.
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT Review: I could not put this book down. I have read all of Ms. Jenkin's books and I have enjoyed every last on of them. The charecters make you laugh as well as cry. You want they to be happy. Sable is very brave and you will love her. Raimond is a sweet heart.
Rating: Summary: LUSH, VIVID STORYTELLING!! DELICIOUS HISTORICAL ROMANCE!! Review: I had seen the book in a couple of stores, and although the covers intrigued me, I never picked one up until I saw my co-worker reading it. I bought it on the way to jury duty and COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN!!! I was swept away by the imagery, the story of the slaves and the life they led, and the realism. The way she incorporated the true events of the day into the romance was educational too. I loved how Sable was a strong, principled woman who kept her dignity in adversity, and how Raimond finally lost his (!!!). They were such a match!!! I was so happy for them, and when they were ever separated from each other, my stomach sank. The story was just wonderful, and now I'm digging for her other books. I've never been into historical romances, but this one sold me!!! You GO Beverly, and let's visit this couple again!!!
Rating: Summary: Soul Riverting Romance Review: I have been a romance reader for over twenty years. I have read hundreds of romance books, and let me say this is the first book that made me felt the love and romance dripping from pages to pages. When I started reading this book and I could not put it down. This is fifth book of Beverly Jenkins I have read in two weeks time, because when I read one of her books I had to read everything she had written. This book was super romantic! All the characters was well written.
Rating: Summary: Simply MAGNIFICANT! Review: I have never read romance the wat Beverly Jenkins writes it. Through the Storm, as well as her other books was simply, MAGNIFICANT! I just wish that I could have lived in an era where there was this type of romance.! Splendid!
Rating: Summary: Chivalry & Love Review: I have read all but two of Beverly Jenkins books, and this was by far my favorite. This book has it all, Love, Loyalty, Passion, Chivalry, and Forgiveness. A strong, capable, and beautiful heroine, and a Handsome, Strong, Charming, and Intellegent Hero; Romance doesn't get any better. This books takes us from slavery, to the horrors and joys of the camps, finally to a world with educated, wealthy, and hadsome black people. It also deals with the loss of family to the horrors of slavery and the migration of our people that could pass for white. I give this book 5 stars, I would give it 6 if I could.
Rating: Summary: ANOTHER BESTSELLER Review: I have read all of Beverly Jenkins novels, and I am glad to say that Through the Storm is another great book! I do not read romance novels regularly, but I will read those written by Ms. Jenkins. She is truly a talented author and I can't wait for the next book. Keep on keeping on Ms. Jenkins!
