Rating: Summary: CRAP CRAP CRAP AND CRAP Review: I brought this for the staggering price of £6.99 and let me tell you it was not worth it.SAME OLD',SAME OLD'.Nothing new just, predictable and boring the same pleasant, safe romantic stuff they patronisingly try to stick down are educated throats.
This book in commerciality is the book equivalent of the cheeky girls.
After reading it, my only question was when are these romance novelists going to stop doing work that has the emotional depths of a childs first picture book?
Oh and the early romantic writers in the 1980's, way out write these commercial offerings (I mean do these writers even care about the quality of their work.)
And for the equisitive no, I'm not a Grandma, complaining that the old days werebetter. I'm in my twenties and...
I love all types and forms of romance
Rating: Summary: It was good! Review: I loved the first half of the book. The part where she got into an accident and so forth wasn't to my liking. The ending was good!
Rating: Summary: Buy this book Review: I loved this book from start to finish. I don't even know if I can review it without just plain old gushing over it. I really felt for these characters. I saw how pride and anger can make people say and do the opposite of how they feel. I saw how men (and women) of vision sometimes have to do what is hard and painful in order to serve the greater good. As in all of the books by this author there is a happy ending, yet there were enough twists and turns for me to make me appreciate the ending all the more. This was perhaps her only book with a strong mother character and that was nice to see. The main characters are very fleshed out and of course there is lots of humor and smoldering passions. There is a little bit of 20th century ideals that I wonder if they really would have had a place in Scotland 300 years ago, but I can willingly forgive those things. This is a wonderful book, perhaps my favorite of the author's. You will reread it many times over--promise!
Rating: Summary: To all Romance readers, .....GET THIS BOOK!!! Review: I only wish that there where more stars available to rate this book. I finished reading it early this morning, by 2:00 a.m., and I was supposed to wake up at 5:30 a.m., to go to work. I was not able to wait until the next evening to finish it because the story had me so deeply involved that I had to know what was going to happen. I've read several romance books and this one is by far, THE BEST OF THEM ALL!!!. It's a true original masterpiece. This book made me cry of joy, made me laugh until my stomach hurt (so much that my husband would look at me as if I was going mad), made me feel like you will get everything you want out of life only if you want it very badly. Morgan is the ultimate hero, he's for lack of better words the personification of all a woman could want in a man, he's honest, proud, loving, misterious, a savage gentleman and on top of all, irresistibly handsome, what a combination! Sabrina is innocent, beautiful, courageous but has been spoiled by everybody. They go through several obstacles most of them placed between them by themselves. Their story is full of love, passion, betrayal, danger and humorous anecdotes. I want to thank Ms. Medeiros for ever thinking of becoming a writer and for bringing, to the world of us readers, such joy through her work.
Rating: Summary: Almost special Review: I picked up this book because I enjoyed Medeiros' "The Bride and the Beast"-- it was different, charming, funny. But "Whisper of Roses" disappointed me. The last third of the book hinges on a Big Misunderstanding that seemed contrived. I was disturbed by the disconnect between Morgan's casual cruelty as a child, and his hidden gentleness as a man; it didn't seem real to me. Sabrina's own transformation from a sweet natured woman into an embittered invalid made more sense to me, but also did not ring entirely true. I felt like these characters gave up on their love a bit too easily. I felt like Morgan's strategy of goading Sabrina out of self-pity was a craven way to help his lover. He could have established the same by showing her his love for her to lend her courage.

Rating: Summary: Good Review: I really liked this story. But the ending left something to be desired. I won't give it away though cause somebody else might not mind it at all. But other than that it was a great story. I only wish that the cousin could have had her onw story. I love to read about women who are more like me. Not less than perfect like some people call them but more to love. Now this story is really beautiful. I love highland tales and this is good stuff. Teresa Medeiros is one of my favorite writers so I just buy what she writes. The three stars is only cause of the end. Otherwise you will really cry with the sheer joy and beautiful of this love story.
Rating: Summary: Great novel but.. Review: I thought this was a great book and everything. Some of the charachters were well-developed but the book should have ended long before it actually did. But overall the writing was really good..
Rating: Summary: A Whisper of Roses Review: I thought this was a spectacular book until I came to the end. The writing and story are excellent, but the author tries to do to much. The story would have ended nicely after the heroine, Sabrina Cameron, has her accident. She would have to heal of course, but the general idea remains the same. Instead, she leaves the hero, Morgan MacDonnell, and turns into a whiny, selfish brat. She is very annoying towards the end, and Morgan would have left her if he had any sense. If you can see past the horrible ending, you will enjoy this book. The story line and writing and basically very good. Ms. Medeiros uses wonderful prose to create intense love between a Scottish man and woman in the days of the proud Highland lairds.
Rating: Summary: M.A.M Review: I was very surprised when I bought my first romance book, which happened to be A Whisper of Roses. When I started to read the book I found out that I couldn't put it down. I read all through the night and well into the next day until I finished it. I have to say that it has to be one of the best books that I have ever had the pleasure to read. Now I am a romance book collecter.I own over a hundred books now. If anyone is thinking to get started reading romance,I suggest they start with Teresa's books!
