Summary: I like paranormal romance, but not this...
Review: I am always looking for a good vampire romance novels. I was excited when I read the reviews for this one. So excited that I bought all three books (and paid almost [$$$]). What a total waste of money. All three books were poorly written. The character development is non-existent. The sex is not sexy or enticing. There is no build-up in the relationships, everybody simply loves each other for no apparent reason. The only thing going for this series is the author's imagination. Don't waste your money of these books!

Summary: Get Wild With Wilder!
Review: J.C. Wilder writes one of the best paranormal series around. Her Shadow Dwellers series will easily become favorites of any paranormal lover fortunate enough to pick up her books!

Summary: Shameless & Redemption in One Volume!
Review: Shameless - Erihn had been a beautiful girl with an up and coming modeling career when she was kidnapped, tortured and scarred for life. Although she eventually escaped her captor and her wounds healed, Erihn bore deep scars inside and hid her natural beauty behind bulky clothes and avoided men. If she hadn't drunk too much at the bar, her friends never would have been able to get her to read her poem on the stage and the sexy Fayne never would have kissed her in public. Erihn immediately fled from Fayne to her friend Jennifer's remote Colorado cabin (Jennifer's story is in book #2 called Retribution). So Erihn is stunned when she discovers that Fayne is living there. Fayne has always been turned on by females who are unaware of their own attractions and is determined to get to know Erihn better. He is willing to give her time to grow accustomed to his presence, but not too much time. As Fayne grows to care for Erihn, he discovers that she is writing a romance novel about a were-cat that seems to be based on him. But how could she know the truth about what he really was?

Redemption - Maeve was determined to destroy the master vampire Mikhail for killing her twin sister. She knew that she could never hope to beat him with her own strength, but she knew that there had to be a way. When Maeve discovered there was a powerful spell handed down to select witches that would hold a master vampire immobile long enough for them to be killed, she knew that she had to get her hands on that spell. Luckily for her, she ran into Quinn Montgomery at just the right time. Quinn was called home for his half-sister Bliss' funeral and found his mother, Mortianna, arguably the most powerful witch in the world, to be unchanged. Quinn knew that his mother didn't love him, but still hoped that they could reconcile. When Quinn protected Maeve and prevented his mother from killing her, he knew that the battle lines were drawn. With Mikhail playing pupper master in the wings, Quinn had to somehow persuade Maeve that no matter how evil Mikhail was, no spell was worth selling her soul for. But as Quinn found himself falling deeper in love with Maeve, he knew that he had to teach her how to forgive and move on with her life or she would never have room in her heart for him...

Shameless is #3 in the Shadow Dweller series and it was my favorite of the six. It is the only one that deals with were-cats or any kind of were-animals and Fayne was extremely sexy. Erihn was also a great heroine and really came into her own by the end of the book. The story is pretty short, at a little over 200 pages, but is one of the longer books in the series. Redemption is #4 in the Shadow Dweller series and I think it is the weakest book of the six. The story is even shorter, at a little over 130 pages. I didn't like it because Maeve seems like a very unlovable person and I just couldn't see why a great guy like Quinn would want someone like her. Still, it does provide a vital link between book #3 & book #5 and it is interesting to see the story of Mikhail vs. the shadow dweller world continue to unfold. Keep an eye out to find these 6 books as a bargain set or buy them in ebook format, as they are quite a bit cheaper. Just be aware that Wilder leaves you hanging after the sixth book and Renault never does get his story told (as of yet)!

Summary: Shadow Dwellers rocks!!
Review: Trust me, folks, klheu has NO idea what she's (or he's?) talking about. The reason I know this is, I am a professional writer and editor, and I know good writing when I see it. J.C. Wilder's books have it all - intricate plots, grand passion, wonderful characters, and sizzling love scenes. Tens of thousands of happy readers clamoring for her next book can't be wrong.
