Summary: Didn't like this one a bit.
Review: This is a wonderfully romantic tale of our fear to see inside the heart of our true love. Roderica is a great heroine, beautiful, witchy, scared of her gift, which allows her to read the minds of others. She longs for a normal life but knows how unlikely that is if she can sense every thought of her spouse and he knows it.

But when she meets the Devil Earl, Faelen, she can't read his mind and decides to marry him. He is one of the best heroes I have ever met: haunted, cynical, needing love.

And, in the way of the best romances, they rescue each other. Their relationship is so true, and their love so clear. It really is a joy to visit with it.

A definite keeper. If you see it, buy it!

Summary: The first 3/4 of the book makes it all worth it.
Review: This is one of the best and most unique approaches to telepathy I've ever seen. The characters are realistically earthy. The end, though... It seems tacked on, and having very little to do with the rest of the book.

Summary: Pure Enchantment!
Review: This is the second Kinsale book i've read, the first being the also excellent Flowers in the Storm [get past the cover, and you'll be fine]. Both these books cast their spell and left me numb with the intensity of the characters feelings. Her books are not light hearted jaunts but will tug at your heartstrings and leave a lasting impression of passion and emotion. Be sure you haven't anything important planned for the next day or so after starting the book because it won't leave you with much free thought until you break the spell and finish the book. The enchantment of Ireland and faery folk were especially attractive to me.

Review: You won't believe how real Kinsale makes the unbelievable probable. A fantastic love story in every sense of the term. :-)

Summary: Not bad, but not what Id hoped for (3 1/2 stars)
Review: Young Roderica Delamore has a gift. She has the ability to hear the thoughts of others. However, to Roddy, this is no gift. She views it as more of a curse. When she meets Faelen Savigar, everything changes. Faelen is different. Roddy cannot hear his thoughts at all. He is deeply troubled and is surrounded by dark rumors that have plagued him since he was a child. Together, they find love and begin to heal one another.
"Uncertain Magic" started very strongly. Roddy was a great character. She had guts, but was still soft and sensitive. Faelen was wonderful as well, but I didnt always agree with his actions. This book was written from Roddys point of view. I normally dont like that, but in this instance, it worked. Now, what I didnt like about this book was that it lost its way somewhere towards the middle. The focus shifted away from Roddy and Faelen and just sort of went all over the place. The ending and the explanation that wrapped up any questions was just...well...it was stupid. I dont want to give too much away and ruin the book..Ill just say it was disappointing the way things turned out. Basically, I wanted more Faelen and Roddy and less strangeness. This is not a book Id call a keeper...not at all, but I love a book by Kinsale regardless. Well written...absolutely. A keeper...no.
