Summary: Everything in book is great, but..
Review: ..I don`t like Erika. You knwo, at all!! It`s more annoing `cos I like Selig very much and would love to read a GREAT novel about him. But, unfortunately, the book was quite boring and I didnt like Erika. Her haracter was boring I still cant belive, that such man as Selig could fall in love with her.. But still, the book is good, not great that it could be, but still.. And yep, I liked Erika`s brother Ragnar, he seemed a quite handsome and interesting man. I hope Johanna will write something about him in her next books, or, what would be even better, separate book about him and his `rich refractory bride`, that rejected him in SML))

Summary: Huge Disappointment
Review: I am sorry, but I was truly disappointed by this book. I found the book to be choppy and uneven. I did not find myself feeling sorry for the heroine Erika, nor could I gather compassion for the wronged Selig. I read the first two novels in this series, Hearts Aflame and Fires of Winter and they are definately worth reading. I love most all of Ms. Lindsey's books, but I think she was under pressure to finish the Trilogy and she did not put much effort into this novel. The plot and characters were very weak, even the characters from the earlier novels were very unlikable. I do not recommend this book. (sorry to the previous reviewers)

Summary: Not What I Expected
Review: I could not wait to read Selig's story but what a disappointment it was. The book was more of a family reunion than a story about Selig and Erika. Although I enjoyed hearing about the rest of the family his story did not stand alone. I thought a couple of chapters could have been eliminated. The first two books in the Viking series I highly recommend they are excellent reads. Find this one at your local library.

Summary: Good Read...but just once
Review: I have not read the first two books from the trilogy, but I hear they're wonderful and I have the feeling I should have gotten them instead of bothering with this book. Its incredibly underdeveloped concerning plot. Selig did not seem quite angry enough over Erika's involvement in his horrible ordeal, Kristen was nasty and mean as hell the entire time, and Erika...well, I just didn't get her. The ending was kind of creative, though.

Summary: great book
Review: i have to say this is one of my favorite books.the first two books were great and this one was the best.there was alott of anger on selig's part after he felt he was wronged by erika.he treated her very poorly but couldnt help being attracted to her.kristen ,seligs sister ,did get a bit(very)mean.but we understood she was just looking out for her brother.a definate keeper

Summary: Not the best...
Review: I love the Viking series, but this book is a bit of a disappointment. Kristen is so unlikable in this book, and Erika has no personality. It's always good to see Garrick & Brenna though.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Didn't get off the ground
Review: I love the viking trilogy, but this one(3rd)never seemed to get off the ground. Selig wasn't convincing as being sooo upset with Erika. Erika was in turn too weak for my taste. And I loved Hearts Aflame, but Kirsten from that book took up way too much space in this one and was nasty. i was wondering if it was the same Kirsten or a new one. I didn't understand how Selig's mother could even tolerate her son doing the things he did to Erika, being how strong she was in Fires of Winter. She of all people should understand how Erika felt, but she didn't. Even Garrick, you'd think he would've said something. this was a boring Lindsey read. If you're not an avid Lindsey reader, pass this one up. She seemed rushed to make a 3rd book for this trilogy, and it shows.

Summary: definately a keeper
Review: i read all of johanna lindsey's books and i found this to be one of my favorites.i loved the other two books in this series and found this book hard to put down.Selig and Ericka were wonderful characters. They started off on the wrong foot when selig was held prisoner.then when the tables turned and selig held ericka prisoner it started getting interesting.although he tried to hate her he had a hard time.this is what made the book so interesting to me,the hate that consumed him until he realized he was falling in love with ericka.yes, kristen got a little nasty but she was trying to protect her brother .and seligs mother brenna knew not to interfere.this is definately worth the read!!!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: alright
Review: i thought the book was alright. better than some of the newer j.l. books. this one didn't dwell and dwell and dwell on the fighting/argument between the two main characters. (you know the kind that makes some small part of you hate the main characters just a little bit)!
