Summary: Okay... So I bought this because of the cover
Review: (Hardcover version) This has to be one of the prettiest covers and pages (inside) of a book that I have EVER read. Beyond that the story caught me from "go" I enjoyed this it reminded me of a Alfred Hitchcock Mystery and had enough pace to keep me enthralled, this was the first Kay Hooper I had ever read but after reading this one I went out and bought all of her back list to see how far she has come, wonderful story telling with enough suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Summary: Loved it!

Summary: Supernatural, Super Romance, Super Thriller
Review: Cliffside, how come she sees the sign for that small town in her dreams? How come two different people in Atlanta have called her Caroline when her name is Joanna? These are only two of the questions that have come to puzzle research librarian Joanna Flynn after her near fatal auto accident. Joanna, puts the clues together, finds out that a woman named Caroline McKenna, who is her exact age, died in an accident in Cliffside, Oregan at the same time she survived her own accident and to make matters even more coincidental, they could have been twins. Caroline goes to Oregon and finds more than she bargained for, more than anyone could have bargained for.

I enjoyed this five star, character driven book more than I can say, this book is so much more than a romance novel, so much more than even romantic suspense. Dean Koontz fans would appreciate this book.

Summary: One of the best reads of the summer!
Review: Excellent book. Kay Hooper kept me guessing on many levels. I liked this book because Joanne developed into a very real and likable person to me. She had an extraordinary perception/ intuition and was willing to follow her "gut feelings" no matter what the consequences might be. Cliffside and Caroline both seemed to be perfect, but Ms. Hooper very convincingly peeled away the layers of dishonesty and revealed what lay beneath. As for Sheriff Griffin Cavanaugh, who could ask for a better hero? Thank You Kay for the good read!

Summary: A great read!
Review: Great book and kept me wondering on many, many levels. Joanne was a very realist person with unusual insight and instinct and willing to follow her mind-set no difference what the penalty would be. Both Caroline and Cliffside seemed to be just perfect but very compellingly was the levels of corruption revealed and put front. What a hero....Sheriff Griffin Cavanaugh. A great read!

Summary: A great mix of romance and suspense!
Review: I just happened to pick this book up at the local library, and I'm thrilled that I did! Ms. Hooper did a wonderful job mixing suspense and romance, and kept me wondering until the end. The characters became very real to me through her description and believable dialogue. I'll definitely look for other Kay Hooper books.

Summary: Liked the Story
Review: I liked the story. There was enough mystery to keep me fairly interested, but the characters seemed a little flat. It seems either authors do a great job of either character development or story development. In this case, it is story development.

Summary: A Psychic Connection from Beyond the Grave
Review: I read this book after reading Kay Hooper's "Shadow" and "Evil" books and considering that those books were written well after "After Caroline," one might think that this novel might not hold up, but one would be wrong. "Caroline is every bit the book Hooper's later works are. I was hooked from the first page. Yes, there was an awful lot of coincidence, two accidents, one near fatal, one fatal, that take place at the same time to identical women who are the same age, but that's okay, because Hooper deals with it in a way that makes us believe. She pulls us into the story with suspense, romance and richly drawn characters.

I liked this book four stars worth and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves good romance, good suspense and a touch of the strange.

Summary: I loved this book!
Review: I'm not even sure why I liked this book so much--I don't usually like suspense, romance or otherwise. It was beautifully written, and just kind of struck a chord. I'm looking forward to trying her other books.
