Summary: So-So.....
Review: I really enjoyed "Castles In The Air" by Christina Dodd and looked forward to reading this book. However, I wasn't very impressed. There were a few funny moments and the overall story was good but it didn't grab my attention. I finished the book but it was a slow read. Not a bad book but not a keeper, in my opinion.

Summary: Wonderful Romance,Great Characters!!!
Review: I really enjoyed this Great Book. I think it is one of Ms.Dodd's Greatest works. Lady Saura is a Couragous woman who overcomes the handicap of Blindness and finds a way to help someone else(Sir William of Miraval) do the same. I thought it was touching and funny when William was kissing all the girls in the castle trying to find the one he kissed and fell for in the bath. When William(who's eyesight was lost from injury) regains his sight suddenly, he cries when he realizes Lady Saura his beloved is blind. These Characters have lots of depth. You will laugh and cry , but most important of all this book is a KEEPER!! Worth your Money!!!

Summary: it's a good book
Review: I really loved this book. I was disapointed how easy it is to identify the villian because that's usually the best part of her books but overall it was good. The main characters are likeable and the story was heart warming because it delt with overcoming a handicap. Like other reviewers I concur that it's easier to see this is her earlier work but the true Christina Dodd fans see how far she's come in ten years. I have read all but three of her books and I've never been disappointed.

Summary: I just couldnt get into it..
Review: I thought that this book had unbelievable potential, but I just couldnt like it no matter how much I wanted to. I absolutely loathed the characters.. I thought that Saura was annoying and William was such a pig I wanted to jump right into the book and belt him upside the head..needless to say, I did not finish this ..why waste time reading something I dont even like a little when there are so many amazing stories out there to be read??? I have many books by Ms. Dodd and I have enjoyed the majority of them..sadly, I cannot say the same for "Candle in the Window" This is not a book that I would recommend.

Summary: Earlier Work
Review: I was reading some the the reviews & I wasn't sure if the writers of those reviews realized that this is a very early work of Dodd's. Her later books reflect the growth that she's made. This particular book I really loved when it first came out. I lost my copy and was glad to have a chance to reread it. So when reading it keep in mind it was written almost or more than 10 years ago.

Summary: A medieval self-help book
Review: I was so moved by the book, that I ordered nearly all of Christina Dodd's book at a roll (except those with surcharge on special delivery). You never mixed William and Saura with other romance book's characters, since both of them blind, (even though William was temporary blind) it was very rare in romance book. Christina showed you, no matter what, the world still going on, William still needed to learn to adept to the new world.

The story line was very interesting, it told you what a medieval person did when they encountered with the modern problem. It was also very interesting to see how a blind lady still could survive and found love. I truly believe William's love toward Saura was real, because the love was cultivated by hardship, which sure would booming no matter what. That was a very good story.

Summary: Medieval romance
Review: Lady Saura of Roget is blind and is persuaded by the father of Sir William of Miraval to return with him to his home to help his son come to terms with his recent blindness from an attack by an unknown enemy. Saura is full of fighting spirit and teaches William that there is more to life than just sitting around feeling sorry for himself despite their blindness. In the shadow there is danger in their lives in the form of a madman.

The premise sounded really good. Saura is a strong heroine and William is a brave hero but I found that the story fell flat half way through after the two leads declare their love for each other. There's no playful fighting or any antagonism afterwards and the subplot to endanger the lives of the two leads is predictable. It's a shame really because I really enjoyed reading the first half of the book but couldn't wait for the second half to come to an end soon enough.

Lealing
