Summary: Missing something
Review: I just finished this book and while I normally LOVE everything Dara Joy has ever written, this book is missing something. The change in genders within the Regency formwork was interesting, but not the riveting experience I've come to know in her books. It just wasn't a story to sit up and grab you. It may be a preface of better things to come once she expands on the story line a little more. Maybe I'm still waiting for Traed's story in the Matrix of Destiny.

Summary: Well done futuristic Regency.
Review: Imagine a Regency society in a futuristic world. Where women hold the power and the aristocracy expects young men to prove their innocence prior to marriage. Jorlan Reynard wants more out of life than to marry and father children, and he cannot believe that family friend Green Tamryn would force his hand. Green recognizes Jorlan's special qualities --not only his character, but also new powers that have recently evolved in their world. When an unscrupulous aristocrat who would never appreciate Jorlan makes an offer Jorlan's grandmother cannot refuse. Green comes to the rescue by claiming Jorlan first. Convincing Jorlan to be happy with the arrangement will prove a challenge, but teaching him the pleasures of the marriage bed will be Green's compensation. The reversal of roles across an entire society is a huge undertaking and done exceedingly well in this story. Both entertaining and thought-provoking, Ritual of Proof lives up to Dara Joy's standards for fun, likable characters and sensual story-telling.

Summary: A Unique Twist
Review: When I first started reading the book, it did seem strange at first to have women and men roles reversed. However, I could not put the book down! I have just finished reading it and I loved it!

Hopefully, the next book from this author will tell what happened to Claudine's daughter and Jorlan and Green's son.

Summary: ASurprising Plot to say the least!
Review: This book has an amazing plotline, which hardly no author could make it work as well as Dara Joy has. This book pulls you into the world of Forus and by the end, you do not want to leave. .... ...this is not your typical beat around the bush romance plotline.... Keeping a person guessing and not always agreeing with what has happened in a book is what makes a great book. And Ritual of Proof accomplishes that and then some. This is a ground breaking book and not in any way your usual or typical romance book. It stresses sci-fi/fantasy elements with the romance that Dara Joy is known for and instills in this book. This book has to be read to understand the meaning of the book. Enjoy the read.

Summary: A Little Different.....
Review: After discovering Ms. Joy's books by accident several months ago, I didn't stop until I had everything she had written. I loved all her books and couldn't wait for her new one. After reading 'Ritual of Proof',I was not disapointed. How refreshing is a story where the male/female roles are different than the norm.I was glad ,though, when Jorlan finally stood up to Green.Women do like a take charge man.The romance sizzles. This is certainly a no-loaner book. Can't wait for Rivers' story.

Summary: Very suggestive and thought provoking
Review: A very daring story (well, not really in our times)with a society dominated by women, it is written in a way that isn't overly strong, that seems plausible and that leaves you waiting for a sequel. You are inmersed in the ideosyncracies of the people of Forus and in the deliciously sensual relationship between Green and Jorlan while they cope with their mystical connection to their planet and with universal issues as love, the search for equality, and trust. It has a refreshingly new and at the same time, enchantingly old and eternal feeling about it. I gave it 4 1/2 stars because of it slow begginning.

Summary: good Intro
Review: Like most of the reviewers, Dara Joy is one of my favorite writers. This book is good but not one of her best efforts. If you read her books for the erotic content, you will not be disappointed. One problem is that the characters are not fully developed to my satisfaction. By the end of the book we are still not sure what they want and what their beliefs are. Jorlan is just as much a mystery in the end as he was in the beginning. We also expected Green to be sympathetic to Jorlans views about the role of the male in their society, it never happens.

The good part is that this book or at least the end of the book sets up interesting events for a next book... Give the book a try and wait for the next book.

Summary: Bedprice, humm
Review: The idea of a man having a bedprice is quiet a twist on the traditional story. The story in itself is quiet a phenomenal twist of different threads. Loved the book in its entirity.

Summary: how can i get to this wonderful world?
Review: Of all the books by this author that I've read, there is only one I didn't like. This newest title is one of the ones I loved. I literally couldn't put it down. Dara Joy has a way of making made up worlds seem so real and so, well, "yummy" for lack of a better word. Jorlan is absolutely wonderful and I love the surprise at the end. Just when I thought I knew what all was going on. My only "burning" question is: When will Dara Joy write the sequel to "Mine to Take" already. I've waited long enough. Come on Ms. Joy, I can only read Knight of a Trillion Stars, Rejar, and Mine to Take so many times before I just get tired of waiting for the sequel.
