Summary: Say Cheese!
Review: Well, I must say I regret not reading the 'teaser' inside the front cover of this one. Pure Velveeta. (To paraphrase; She: "You are like the sun, my lord" He: "I burn for you" etc.) So please don't think Ms. Lowell would miss such a wonderful opportunity for word play with our valient hero's name, Dominic le Sabre. Many of the metaphors in this book were groanworthy. For example there are eternal comparisons of the heroine to a falcon. If this is what love sounds like, let there be no sweet nothings for me! This is one situation where I found the plot more interesting than the writing. For despite the sappy similes, I did want to follow the plot to the inevitable happy ending. Our heroine, Meg, is Glendruid with the powers of a healer and seer. Her Glendruid ancestry also provides us with a curse that is a major plot device that keep our lovers apart. Some nice stuff!

So if you can stand, or even like, some predictable processed cheeze with your romance, you should like this book. Vive la Velveeta?
