Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: The book was great. I loved it. The story of Dominic and Meg will always delight me. Elizabeth Lowell is a great writer.
Rating: Summary: Predictable And Boring Review: This book brought back my faith in romance novels. The two previous books by Julie Garwood I had for my summer reading were irritating, full of silly bickering between the hero and heroine, with some love scenes thrown in. This book, however, was different. Instead of showing conflict between the two lead characters through dumb arguments, the author showed it by giving me heartbreaking insight into the hero and heroine's minds and hearts. By making me understand their hurts and fears, the author made me actually CARE for the lovers, instead of just CURIOUS as to what the ending would be. The author's Dominic and Meg are three dimensional and real, unlike the "cookie cutter-shaped" characters of other romances I've read. This book had a lot of fresh material, a lot of new ideas. I still can't forget the scene where Dominic attempts to "tame" Meg in the most unusual way - as gently as he would tame a newly-snared falcon. This scene took my breath away. If you're tired of worn-out plots and you're ready for a real LOVE story, I definitely recommend this book!

Rating: Summary: Sensual and moving...Elizabeth Lowell at her best! Review: This is my favorite Elizabeth Lowell novel, and I've read many. Lowell is at her best in this medieval setting, weaving mystical references with love and erotica---I couldn't get enough. The two others in this trilogy are fabulous, as well, but probably not as exquisite in style and prose as this particular yarn. I long for the day Elizabeth Lowell returns to this romantic setting, and finds a lover and bride for the brooding Erik. I've waited for years...will it ever happen? I can only hope. This is the book that started it all---that kept us all waiting with baited breath. A wonderfully quick and fulfilling read, and an absolutely fabulous place to start if you've never opened an Elizabeth Lowell novel. GET IT!
Rating: Summary: I loved this book! Review: This is one of the best books that I have ever read. I love Dominic to death. Elizabeth Lowell gives such a great description of her characters that I couldn't help but fall in love. I hope Ms. Lowell will write more about her wonderful characters.
Rating: Summary: The book that started it all... for me Review: This is the book that got me into historical romance. I had never read a romance novel before, and I was SO glad to come across it. I am in love with the Medieval era and if I could go back in time, that's were I'd go. The story was so exciting and I loved both the hero and the heroine. The two other books in the series 'Forbidden'and 'Enchanted' are just as good, if not better. These books are to date my favorite in the genre. They are fast reads, they never get boring, and if your like me, will move you deeply.
Rating: Summary: Very good Review: This is the first E. Lowell novel I've read, and I thoughroughly enjoyed it. The story was touching, and you feel for Meg the whole time. Very bittersweet. I must be missing something because I have no idea who Erik is.
Rating: Summary: Puurrrrfect romance Review: This is the first EL book I've read and the first book that has actually brought tears to my eyes. VERY often I wanted to bop Dominic. Most of the time actually. He was stupid, arrogant, stupid, frustrating, stupid, beautiful, sexy, and postively wonderful. Meg's character was the ideal heroine. I think her personality is best shown when Dominic forcefully drags Meg from making the herbal antidote. She fought even though she knew Dominic was physically stronger but that didn't stop her determination. I especially liked the fact that Meg and Dominic were honest with each other. They didn't deceive each other to later have it pop up and become a barrier and one more to overcome.I'm a firm believer in honesty but you have to ask the right questions. Dominic didn't always do that....... The love scenes........ oh my! When Dominic feeds his 'small falcon', that's it! I say no more on the subject except be sure you have air conditioning. The supporting characters were well written too. I'm anxious to see what lies ahead for Duncan and Simon. I want to say Ms. Lowell I was not very pleased with you the other morning when I crawled (reluctantly) to bed at 3:45 AM. I kept telling myself, just one more chapter. Forbidden is on the coffee table. I have alot to do today and it's drawing me like a magnet. Wish me luck! Enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Review: This was a great book! Elizabeth Lowell is just about the best writer of historical romance I've read in years. Enchanted is my other favorite, and I hope that she'll write more in the same series.
Rating: Summary: A fascinating, attention gripping mystical medieval romance. Review: UNTAMED was the first Elizabeth Lowell book that I read and I found the book simply magical. Dominic's determination to conquer his bride subtly was quixotic. I also admire Meg - her strong character - especially when she was trying to cure Dominic. The Learned could be a fictititious lot but I find them utterly fascinating. I have now in my possession FORBIDDEN and ENCHANTED and I simply love the books. I have read Elizabeth Lowell's contemporary books but I think her medieval series are the best. I really hope that Elizabeth Lowell will tell us the story of Erik and Sven.
