Rating: Summary: A deep moving book - my very favorite historical romance Review: Dominic le Sabre is home from the Christian Crusades and is a national hero. The king gives him the castle and lands of Blackthorne and arranges a marriage with Lady Margaret of Blackthorne. Lady Margaret (Meg) accepts her fate as Dominic's wife and begins earnestly working with this new arrangement to best benefit all the people of Blackthorn. Dominic is ready to relish this new life and desires heirs from his new wife. Thus begins this magnificent love story you won't forget. It is so refreshing to read a story about an arranged marriage in a historical novel that has two mature participants. There is not even a shadow of the usual, overused plot lines in this type of situation. Both Dominic and Meg sincerely long to make the marriage work and care for the other. There is none of the spite, the betrayal, the deceit, the rudeness, the ruthlessness, and the hate on the part of the husband or wife as is routinely written in this sort of story setting. Meg now ranks as my favorite heroine. She is REAL - like a sensible, mature woman would be. She sincerely seeks what is best for her people and her husband. Meg portrays honesty and kindness but is not weak and does not see herself as a martyr. She determines to allow the marriage to be the best it can be. Of course, she realizes that the marriage can only be what Dominic allows it to be as well. Dominic is magnificent as the medieval knight and new husband. He is genuinely a great hero in many ways and demonstrates true honor. He is also the typical type A male but we eventually see tenderness under his hard exterior. In the beginning, Dominic has little hope that his marriage will be anything other than an arranged marriage in which he will do his part to produce heirs. He actually propositions Meg to be his leman in the beginning of the book - mistaking Meg as a servant. But once he finds out that Meg is his future wife, he no longer seeks a leman. Elizabeth Lowell is an incredible writer. This is not a light read. The story is deep and the characters are very well developed. You are literally immersed in every page. There are few sensual scenes in the book and they occur in probably the last fourth of the book. These scenes are wonderfully written with a great deal of beauty. The sensual scenes rate about a 3 1/2 out of 5 (see More About Me for rating guidelines). This is a wonderfully written book with great historical detail, mysticism, likeable characters, and a fantastic plot. It is exciting to discover this author. She has written many books and I am anxious to read many more of her books. Untamed is first in a series of three: Untamed, Forbidden, and Enchanted. I will definitely keep this book on my favorite shelf to read again - probably more than once - and I know that I will savor it all over again.

Rating: Summary: What is all the fuss about? Review: Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy this book at the end but I thought it was a little slow and boring through the first half. I did not even smile until 3/4 into it. It was enjoyable but not as good as I thought it would be and definitely does not deserve all the perfect praise. I have all 3 books and I hope the next 2 are better.
Rating: Summary: This book is the coolest Review: Elizabeth Lowell is fabulous at this. This triolgy is currently my favorite. I think that a story about Erik would be the bomb. This is the sort of slush romance that just makes you melt, but it also has a cool fantasy sort of twist. Not everyone can do that. This book rules!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Untamed is a romantic love story worth reading Review: Elizabeth Lowell's, UNTAMED, is packed with suspense and filled with many romantic love scenes. Although it is set in the medevil times,it doesnt stop Elizabeth Lowell from giving us an emotional thrill of erotic love images for the readers of today. Meg, the bride to be, dislikes her father's idea of setting her up with a marriage proposal with someone she does not love. She finds out that love is a bondage between two people who feels each other's emotional needs. Does her husband to be have that chemistry? You would have to find out for yourself, for this story deals with many climatic scenes where both meg and her husband to be, are finally finding out what true love is and what true love isn't. Untamed overall is a great book to read if you enjoy the suspense of erotic love scenes between two people. Your head will explode and your heart won't stop beating any faster when you read this exciting love story by Elizabeth Lowell.
Rating: Summary: Could put it down! Review: Every so often I get the pleasure of finding a book that I can't put down- not even for sleep! I love all the references to falcons...very erotic. Lowell probably the best writer I've read this year in the area of romance. With her skill of weaving a yarn, there's no way to not be pulled in to the story.
Rating: Summary: Is That All? Review: First of all I have to say that, with the exception of her "Only" books, I find most of Elizabeth Lowell's book's to be somewhat of a drag. The characters are usually too serious and I personally enjoy more lighthearted characters, but I really enjoyed the three books in this series. The historical aspect alone makes it interesting enough to read as well as the mystical and magical traits of the Learned. I just wish the story would continue with Erik's tale. I have been searching and waiting years for it to be told, ever since I finished Enchanted. I just hope this is not all there is to the series.
Rating: Summary: A definite KEEPER. Review: I actually started the trilogy from the bottem up and was entranced from the first word. I have been searching the bookstore shelves for the next in line ... Erik of course. He is a must for a fourth in this wonderful series. All her heroines have some kind of mysterious power and the men are enticing, erotic and ALL MALE. This trilogy is the absolute best. Please Ms. Garwood carry on the series with Erik and Sven!
Rating: Summary: Best Lowell book out there Review: I agree - of the MANY Lowell books I have read, this is, by far, the best. The build-up to the actual love-making is so intense and the way Lowell can make you visualize everything in the story as it unfolds is astounding. I hope she pens a story for Erik as well, just so we can get back into the days of knights, kings, and conquests!
Rating: Summary: WOW! Review: I am a huge fan of historical romance books, and this one tops them all! Rarely does a book bring tears to my eyes, but this one really made me feel the love between Meg and Dominic! I already have Forbidden to read next! There was really nothing left unspoken between these two, they both wore their hearts on their sleeves. I reccomend this to anyone who loves a good romance, but I warn you, make sure you have access to air conditioning when you read this, because some of the scenes are hot, hot, hot!!
