Summary: Romance on the High Seas
Review: Captain Doom has been unjustly imprisoned for five years and is out to take revenge and to clear his name. By chance, on the high seas, he captures, the innocent and pure Lucy Snow, daughter of Admiral Snow who was the one who betrayed him. He is too decent to compromise her but before he sets her free they are entwined in kiss of emotions which will be deeply ingrained in both their minds.

Captain Doom later disguises himself as a bodyguard called Gerard Claremont and applies for a position with Admiral Snow to protect his daughter, Lucy. Lucy and Gerard hate each other on first meeting and Lucy tries to gain her freedom from Gerard by trying to annoy him with menial tasks but she cannot deny her attraction towards this handsome rogue. Gerard has gained access to the Snow estate to look for papers that will clear his name. He does not manage to find the papers but kidnaps Lucy and leaves on his phantom ship, The Retribution.

Out on the high seas, Lucy finds out the true identity of Gerard but is not afraid of him. Lucy and Gerard find themselves drawn to each other. Gerard opens up Lucy's heart where Lucy has been at pains to hide her emotions after an upbringing without love from her father. Together Gerard and Lucy finds love and salvation within each other.

This was an action packed love story. The feelings of the two main leads are slowly built up over the entire length of the book and is totally believable. It's not a story where the hero and heroine fall in love immediately. Gerard and Lucy grow to love each other and accept each other's faults. The adventure on the high seas is rivetting and will keep you on the edge of your seats. A thoroughly good read indeed.

Summary: Another wonder fromTeresa Medeiros
Review: I have read this book 5 times and each time , I laugh and smile and enjoy the many twists and turns of this book. I loved the idea of not really knowing her bodyguard was infact the great and fearless "Captain Doom". Reading this and all of Teresa's books is just a wonderful way to spend some precious time away from reality. I love this and all T.M's books...Norm Johson aka CaptDoom

Summary: Thief of Hearts..."listen" and you will be inspired !!
Review: I just had to write and say that I was completely enthralled with Teresa Medeiros eloquent writing. She caught me from the very first page. I loved this book! I too, found my favorite passage, and have kept it pinned on my wall for inspiration. It was regarding her soul touching passage, that I call "Sea at Dawn". Her sentiments were touching, as was the entire book. I noticed that another reviewer also enjoyed and quoted the very same passage in her own review. Nice going Dana! Its amazing where your next inspirtation will be found...and there are plenty in "The Thief Of Hearts". Thank You Teresa!

Summary: too wordy
Review: I liked the story a lot, but I found myself skipping paragraphs that added nothing to the story. Part two was written better than the first part. I thought there was a lot of drag between the events. If the second part of the story was like the first, I would have rated it three stars

Summary: Sexy, Funny, Heartwarming and Fabulous!!
Review: I love this book!! I have worn out my copy!! This is truly one of the best romances I have read. The characters are wonderful. The development between the two main characters, their angst, passion, humor, and vulnerability are engaging and moving. This is one of those books you can read over and over again. I highly recommend it to those who love romance with a vulnerable, yet strong hero who is dashing, dark, passionate, and still gentle and loving.

Summary: One of the best historicals I've ever read!
Review: I loved this book. Everything about it worked for me--the plot, the writing, the characters. It touched my heart in a very special way. This was the first Teresa Medeiros book I've read, but it certainly won't be the last!

Summary: Like Traveling Back In Time
Review: I read this book after having read some of TM's more recent works. The writing style is really different from, say, CHARMING THE PRINCE, and lacks some of the tongue in cheek humor that I liked. However, the plot was so well delivered that I was kept guessing about certain issues till well into the story. The villain is REALLY bad, the hero and heroine somewhat of a throw-back from the 1970's romances, as was the pirate theme, but I still recommend this book as a well crafted and entertaining romance.
