Rating: Summary: Disappointing! Review: This book just didn't "deliver" for me. Too many subplots -- pirates, time travel, angels, the devil, etc., etc., etc., and the slapstick "humor" just didn't come across well. I don't think Ms. Britton was able to make up her mind what she wanted to write! Besides, the heroine is so dumb, she's totally unbelievable.

Rating: Summary: Love it Love it!.....reminds me of Lucy Ball Review: This book makes me shake with uncontrollable laughter..cry and mad. The story line is both hilarious and lovely. The adventures of Lucy and Wolf made me laugh and the way Lucy charmingly seduced Wolf slowly almost brought me down to my knees. At the end, when Wold cried..I cried with him..this book endeared itself to me..'cause Wolf cried..in my other books you rarely see the hero cry..the way he showed his feelings without thinking he should be macho was really touching. This is the first book I have read of this author and I think its fantastic..I can't wait for her next book! oh yea, Lucy really reminds me of Lucy Ball..the way she always manages to get in trouble..the red hair...the way Wolf get exhasparated and furious with her..like Ricki does in the show...it really reminds me of the I love Lucy show...
Rating: Summary: Had me in stiches Review: This book was a riot!! I absolutely loved the way the hero and heroine interacted with each other. Don't read this book while eating or drinking! You likely choke on your own laughter.

Rating: Summary: confused and disappointing Review: This book, like all Britton books, try too hard to convince you how great a writer she is. She has promise, but she always fizzles about 1/3 to 1/2 way into the book. The plots jumps and starts and the characters are oh so witty - not. Too many good books to end up tossing one across the room in frustration.
Rating: Summary: Not a good romance, but my, what fun! Review: This romance could use some polishing in terms of plotting (runs out of steam after page 50) and character development (less action, more quiet moments would be nice), but my, the author manages to infuse this story with great cheeky, irreverent, and uplifting vigor! Her charming humor and "Aren't we having fun?" voice shines from every word. Hence, I can't really recommend this book, but you know what? I'll buy her next one. This author has character in her writing, which is not common in many debuts, and I believe she will be great one day.
Rating: Summary: A Starving Author Begs You to Buy Her Book Review: Well, it's finally here! After months and months of waiting, my first book is on the cyber shelves. Not only that, but I'm thrilled to report rave reviews. Here's a sample... "Combining a historical seeting, the paranormal, suspense and swashbuckling action, Ms. Britton has crafted a distinctly unique tale. Snappy dialogue and sizzling passions are intersperesed with some laugh out loud situations that captivate the reader. Pamela Britton is a name to remember and watch for." ~Rendevous Magazine And to think! I didn't even have to pay them to say that. But judge for yourself if you like the book. Here's the story line: Lucy Hartford has a small problem ... someone wants her dead. Naturally, she assumes the attempts on her life are connected to the orphan boy whose past she is probing. Little does she know her inquiries have set in motion a chain of events that will lead her on the adventure of her life... Handsome and fearless, Garrick Asquith-Wolf relished battling pirates on the high seas until one reckless fight cost him his life. But the darling sailor's place in heaven isn't guaranteed. To earn it, he has to return to earth to protect Lucy. But discovering answers can be more dangerous than either Lucy or Garrick expected. Desire flares between this heavenly angel and his charge--a passion that Garrick must resist to save his beloved Lucy and his own soul... I would love to hear from readers. This is my first book. As such, I suffer the woeful insecurities of most first-time authors. So please write. I can be e-mailed at: dspammster@netscape.net Happy reading! Spammy
