Rating: Summary: Sexy, fresh, and original! Review: It is so refreshing to read a book that's "not the same old thing." My Fallen Angel is definitely not the same old thing. It's lots of fun, especially the dialogue, and Garrick is hot, hot, hot! This is one romance that'd make a great movie! I can't wait to read her next one.
Rating: Summary: What a concept! Review: Ms. Britton took a 'what if' fantasy and created a story that had this reader sighing 'if only.' From the beginning I was rooting for Lucy & Garrick, though I couldn't imagine how they were going to resolve their conflict. Then when Garrick sold his soul to the devil, I thought, oh no, now there's no way for a happy ending. But Ms. Britton found a unique AND believable way. I hope she plans to write Lucy's friends' books soon.
Rating: Summary: Good, but irritating Review: Normally, I like paranormal romances, especially with ghosts, pirates, lost heirs, and especially those set in the Regency period. However, I was irritated by the story line which kept referring to characters as if we should know all about them, but who hadn't even been introduced in the book yet. I kept feeling like there was a prequel to this book that I had missed, and that I was coming in in the middle of a story. Otherwise the writing was very good and humorous, although Lucy seemed like a bit of a twit from time to time, and I wanted to give her a good shake. However, the book was good for escapism and the hero and his struggle to save his soul was great.
Rating: Summary: Witty and fun Review: Off the Barbary Coast in May, 1818, Lord Garrick Asquith-Wolf had just won a hand-to-hand combat with Tully St. Clair, one of the most feared pirates on the seas. Tully escaped. Garrick died only seconds later when he was struck by lightning. To keep his soul from going to Hell, Garrick's Heavenly Guidance Counselor gave him the task of guarding Miss Lucy Hartford. However, he had to remain chaste. The vow was a test. Even so little as a kiss would cut down his time to complete his assigned task.Lucy was determined to prove that Tom was the Earl's long lost son. The Earl's new wife had wanted Tom killed so her own child could be heir. Garrick, Lucy, Tom, and Aunt Cornelia were off to find proof. Lucy's accident-prone tendencies kept causing havoc to the investigation. Her very presence was causing havoc to Garrick's senses! Now throw in a dull fiancé for Lucy, Tully returning, and the [bad guy] deciding to complicate things for the Garrick! This one is funny with all the accidents Lucy causes! Full of adventure, travel, and fights between good and [bad]. The ending is delightful! I strongly recommend this story!
Rating: Summary: Simply Delightful Review: Our hero, Garrick Asquith-Wolf, loved his life - born to wealth his hobby was battling pirates on the high seas until one fateful battle cost him his life. In order to gain his place in heaven, he is sent back to earth to complete a task, but with provisions that this legendary 'Wolf' not practice fornication (for which he is legendary) of any kind lest he lose his soul and go straight to hell. His task was to help Miss Lucy Hartford prove the heritage of a young orphan child she had adopted from the London slums. The task was made all the harder by the almost fatal attraction and astonishing passion he felt for Miss Lucy - an attraction that was so hot it might have sent his soul in the opposite direction. I had read the sequel to this book (Seduced) first and liked it so well I had to find out what went on before. Lucy Hartford, the heroine, was a hoot! I've seen the device used before when you take a beautiful young woman and turn them into a complete 'klutz' but this author had me laughing so hard at some of her schemes gone wrong that I was gasping for breath, and the fact that she was a red head had me visualizing a zany Lucille Ball. The secondary characters of her friend Beth, Aunt Caroline, and the orphan Tom were absolutely wonderful and were used brilliantly for foils in outstandingly funny dialogs. Garrick, in his attempts to ignore her were also quite comical, as well as his conversations with the guardian angel that was assigned to make sure he followed the rules of his task. Lucy's attempts to make Garrick fall in love with her and their adventures on the high seas were both exhilarating and exciting. This was one of those books you will find extremely hard to put down and also, I might add, to find. My suggestion to you dear readers is that if you have an opportunity to lay your hands on a copy of this out of print book grab it as quick as you can and run for an easy chair to immerse yourself in a dynamite read!

Rating: Summary: Heaven Sent Review: The attraction between Lucy and her guardian angel is apparent from their first meeting. Lucy is an accident waiting to happen, but likeable all the same. Her guardian angel, Garrick, is the best thing that ever happened to her. Their joint efforts to help a young boy is a romantic, and at times very funny story, that you won't want to put down.

Rating: Summary: A Wonderful Love Story Review: The writting was wonderful. You could actually feel Garrick's pain. Lucy was a very convincing clutzie person. Really made me laugh with her antics. You're asking yourself if Garrick will beat the devil, save Lucy and will they end up together throughout the book. I hope to see more of Garrick and Lucy in future books. Also a story about Beth and Ravenwood would be neat.
Rating: Summary: Not Much To Offer... Review: This book is okay for a first novel. It does have some humorous elements in it; however, there is a trend toward trashiness that puts one off. The plot could use less formula and more originality. The characters are likeable, easy to relate to. True romance lovers appreciate something closer to reality, though. Recommended only if you've already read everything else romance has to offer.
