Summary: This one will keep you up all night!
Review: In a way, this story is reminiscent of one of my favorite movies, "The Return of Martin Guerre." IS the returning hero the person he claims to be? And what happens in the intervening years? Why did he stay away, and why did he come back? Anne Stuart is one of my favorite authors, and this book is a perfect example of her skills at their strongest. The mysterious hero, the woman who loves him no matter what, the danger, intrigue and sensuality all add up to a first-class read. Great cover art is a bonus.

Review: Is he or isn't he who he claims to be? Is Alex really dead or not? Did Carolyn really see Alex murdered on the night he left? Is the man claiming to be Alex an imposter trying to get his hands on his "mothers" millions, or is he really the son he says he he is? This book has it all - suspense, mystery, intrigue, danger and above all romance. Anne Stuart is the undisputed Goddess!I could not put the book down. Thank you Ms Stuart for another terrific read. Five stars is not enough for this book!

Review: Loved it. The Goddess is here to stay. BUY THIS BOOK! Alex, like most of AS' heros is dark, dangerous and just plain old wicked but loveable. His sense of humor is wicked as well. Yes, THIS is a keeper.

Review: Sally McDowell is dying and has many regrets, but most of all she regrets the disappearance of her son, Alex, nearly two decades ago. Carolyn Smith loves Aunt Sally and is very defencive of the woman who treated her like a daughter. Eighteen years ago, she loved Alex, followed him around with stars her in hers. But one horrible night she shadowed him to the beach, saw him meet someone and watch as that person killed Alex. She went into shock, and they found her nearly dead with pneumonia. When she awakes from nearly dying, she finds the family believes Alex stole from Sally and ran away...they are so convincing, Carolyn actually doubts she saw Alex killed, but was part of her fevered imaginable. Review: This is one of the best books Ive read in a long time. It is supenseful, romantic and just plain wonderful. Go out and buy this book. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. This is the first book I've read by Anne Stuart, but it won't be my last.

Summary: The best romance novel
Review: This is the actual book that turned me into a romance novel reader. This book is so good that once you pick it up you are not going to want to put it down until you finish it. Most romance novels don't have a plot to back it up but this one has that and even more. The back drop story is so intriguing and suspensful that it adds to the steamy hot love story.

Review: This is the first book by Anne Stuart that I have read. This was a good book and I intend to read more from this author. This was a very intriguing story. Carolyn saw her often-unkind stepbrother, Alex, murdered when she was a girl. Eighteen years later he shows up at the family home just in time to claim his place as the legal heir to a huge family fortune. Is this Alex or an imposter? This was very captivating story. The only problem I had is that if Alex was so terrible to Carolyn as a child, how could she remain so devoted to him?
