Lavyrle Spencer really can relate to the trials and tribulations of getting "more than your fair share" from Nature. This is a wonderful book
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I have not read this book as yet. Review: I just wanted to say that I have read about 6 of Ms. Spencer's books and have them all. I plan on spreading them out since she is no longer going to be adding to our enjoyment. I have turned about six people on to her stories. My favorite of hers on tape narrated by David Dukes is That Camden Summer. By far one of the best books I have listened to in a long time. My husband even rates it as one of his favorites and we listen to alot of books on tape. Ms. Spencer, please tell all your fans that you will be coming out of retirement to write some more wonderful stories.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: I'm So Dissapointed! Review: I loved this book. I've read every one of LaVerle Spencer's books, and sometimes more than once. I was upset when she retired and left us without her books to look forward to. I really thought when I saw this one advertised as coming out in hardback in Jan. 03, that she had come out of retirement and written for us once again. I have my local library looking for this NEW book, and I've called countless friends about it. Now, I realize I've read it!! Please tell Ms. Spencer, enough is enough. Please write again.

This book speaks to anyone who hopes someone special might see through thier own (percieved or real) insecurities, and love them for the person beneath the exterior. Teresa and Brian's tenderness towards each other is very touching. I also appreciated how the relationships of Teresa's family are incorporated into the story. Very well written

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Different! But good! Review: It sure made me feel for those that are so "blessedly endowed." Theresa is 25 years old living like an old spinster woman with her parents and little 14 year old sister, while her 21 year old brother is in Air Force Officer School. And she's got a lot going against her- carrot red hair, covered with the curse of freckles, and breast the size of volleyballs on her petite figure. Up til now she has done everything she knew to keep from drawing attention to her endowment such as dressing dull w/layers of sweaters & coats and no make-up. But that's about to change... Jeff shows up for the Christmas holidays with his best-friend and roomate, Bryan. Bryan (kind and considerate- a gentleman) is aware of Theresa's problem and past hurts from jealous girls and curious boys/men. He looks past her figure to see her heart and falls in love with it through the time spent with the family and at times where he is "thrown" together with Theresa to accompany Jeff and Jeff's girlfriend. For the first time, Theresa has found someone who truly wants to be with her, spend time with her- not to just to get a grip in the boobs. She starts wanting to improve herself with makeup, a new hair-cut, and new clothes- and she starts liking what she sees- a new Theresa. But she won't allow Bryan to love her physically, being afraid- to trust him as well as being a turn-off to him physically. Theres doesn't know how anyone like her body when to her it is sooo ugly? It's time for Jeff and Bryan to head back to the base after the holidays. Bryan and Theresa both experience a loss they have never experienced before. Then there is the sharing of sweet letters and the suggestion to spend Easter together away from the family to get to know each other and see if these feelings that are being felt have depth to them- a big step for Theresa who has never spent time along with a man and how will her parents react? And she knows Bryan is going to want to do more than just kiss. She wants to be more than "another experience" to Bryan. Where is the commitment? Then there is the suggestion by the doctor to have a breast reduction due to physical problems she is prone to have with her back and shoulder due to the weight in front. But what will she be giving up, how will her parents react (they feel this is the body God give you, appreciate it) and what will Bryan think? This is a story of trust, acceptance, caring, respect and love- where family is important and sticks together. It is a story of a woman learning to love and trust a man along with learning to love herself. A great read, but different. Enjoy!

Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: not a spencer book a real let down Review: Mrs Spencer is my favorite author. I'm very sad she will not be writing any more books I just found the story of breast reduction a little far fetched and I'm a R.N. My favorite Spencer book is Morning Glory. I have searched for other Spencer type authors but none compare!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Sensitive man unlocks innocent's heart Review: One of my all-time favorite books! It was among the first of this author's that I read. I loved the characters--particularly Theresa. I could personally identify with some of her trauma of being "well endowed." The ending made you believe that dreams come true. As you read, you become one with Theresa and Brian. My one wish is that Ms. Spencer would write a sequel. I've always wanted to know what happened to Theresa and Brian, as well as her brother Jeff and his girlfriend old "Glue Eyes!"
