Rating: Summary: Excellent entertainment Review: "The MacGregor Brides" continues the MacGregor family stories by introducing the reader to the next generation. Daniel MacGregor, the meddling matchmaker, is at it again in this one, trying to marry off three of his granddaughters. The book is comprised of three separate stories revolving around Laura, Gwen and Julia, three cousins sharing a home in Boston. Laura's story comes first, and she is set up with dangerously handsome Royce Cameron when "The MacGregor" hires him to install a security system in the girls' home. Laura is the daughter of Caine and Diana and it's great to see them again, happy and as in love as ever. Laura and Royce's romance is fresh and exciting. Next comes Gwen's story, daughter of Justin and Serena. She is a doctor, and The MacGregor sends Branson MacGuire her way in hopes that the sparks will fly. Branson is an author researching for his next book by joining Gwen on her rounds in the hospital. Daniel is not disappointed because things between these two heat up fast! Finally comes Julia's story, daughter of Allan and Shelby. Cullum Murdoch has been a thorn in her side for as long as she can remember, but when his construction company is contracted to work on the house she is rehabbing, they soon find out that their disdain for each other is really covering a powerful attraction! This is a highly enjoyable way to round out the book. "The MacGregor Brides" isn't an especially deep or thought-provoking read, but it is lots fun and very entertaining. It's always great to have a visit with the MacGregors, and these tales are no exception. I most definitely recommend this book, because sometimes we just need to take a break and relax!

Rating: Summary: Charming--er--that all Review: "The MacGregor Brides" is a charming "story" of love and happily-ever-after ending. I like the MacGregor character. The rest of them are right-down too flat. The only MacGregor cousin that is a better devolped and real is Julia. Only her relationship seem to be natural. It's OK if you like people falling in love after they have intercourse. Is that real love?
Rating: Summary: Great work by the genre's best Review: Julia, Laura, and Gwendolyn are cousins who happen to be the best of friends. The trio share a home in one Boston's most exclusive neighborhoods. They make up the youngest generation of the renowned MacGregor dynasty, headed up by the eccentric cutthroat businessman, Daniel MacGregor. All of Daniel's three granddaughters are aware of the matchmaking role he played in their parents' marriages. None of them believe that they would fall for any of his machinations. They will have the opportunity to test that premise because Daniel believes that it is time his three darling girls are married and he has selected the perfect candidate for each of them.
THE MACGREGOR BRIDES gives readers a chance to become reacquainted with
some old and dear friends while introducing the next generation of the beloved dynasty. Nora Roberts' fans will find themselves endowed with a plethora of riches as they are given three exciting and entertaining stories in one delicious book. The latest Roberts' masterpiece make for the perfect Christmas stocking stuffer.

Rating: Summary: A very romantic novel lets us feel what love can do to us. Review: As I read through the pages of this novel, I could feel the romance and love in the air as well as see the events taking place in my mind with Laura, Gwendolyn, and Julia. Even though Laura, Gwendolyn, and Julia knew their grandfather, Daniel MacGregor, has selected these gentlemen for them, they still could not resist and happily fallen in love with them. I liked the novel very much for it lets me feel and experience what love can do to two people. Love is so unexpected, since love can happen anywhere and at anytime, even with two people who are totally opposite from each other. By reading this romance novel, everyone could feel the meaning of love, as I have truly did.
