Summary: Lori Foster at Her Best
Review: I just finished Buckhorn Brothers: Casey. I continue to be very impressed with Ms Foster's writing. She pulls you into the story and makes you feel what her characters are going through. She is also not afraid to write about modern day problems. In this case what untreated alcoholism can do to a child emotional well being. Emma's Mom is an alcholic and has emotionally and physically abused Emma most of her life. Emma finally has enough and with her father develop a plan to get her away from the situation.

In comes Casey. Casey has always defended Emma and she is more than a little in love with him. So she knows that Casey will at least help for one night. Emma's father takes her to the Hudson home and dumps her into Casey's arms. Her father tells Casey he is reponsible for fathering the child she is carrying. However, ther is no child. Emma explains to Casey parents that she just needed to get away from a bad situation. Honey and Sawyer take her in and make her spend the night. Casey wants to protect her and help her. Emma disappears during the night and stays away for 8 years. Breaking Casey's heart.

Eight years later she returns because her father has a stroke. She runs into Casey first thing. Casey decides that he is not letting Emma get away this time. The rest of the story is warm and loving. It is a story of trust and compassion.

Summary: Loved this book
Review: I really thought this was a great ending to this series. My only complaint is that Casey's cousins were referred to, several times, as his nieces and nephews. Then other times they were correctly referred to as his cousins. This, however, did not affect the story and chemistry between Emma and Casey. I loved Emma, she was such a wounded teen who turned out very well.

Review: Like the other books in the Buckhorn Series, it's great. The guys are hot and they're very considerate lovers. You won't regret reading this series.

Summary: A fitting finale to a great series
Review: Lori Foster has done it again! Her latest installment of The Buckhorn Brothers is delightful and sweet. Foster wrote this book in response to many readers who asked her to write about Casey, the youngest Hudson.

In writing the book, Foster reunites Casey and Emma, a girl from the wrong side of the tracks who had a terrible reputation when they were in school together. Despite her reputation, Casey stands by Emma in high school after a terrible fight with her parents. Emma repays Casey by disappearing from his life.

Years later, Emma comes back to town. Her father is in the hospital and Emma wants to be with him -- to mend bridges. She and Casey reunite and begin a tentative romance. Casey pursues Emma singlemindedly, however, Emma isn't as sure.

Emma doesn't apologize for her past, except when she feels it's appropriate and when she does, it's heartfelt. Her interactions with other members of Buckhorn society (the nastier ones, who can't help but swipe at her for her past) are handled with grace and humor. She's overall just a delightful heroine and a perfect foil for Casey.

As an added bonus, the reader gets to revisit the other Buckhorn brothers to see what their lives are like. And, we get to see Ceily, a delightful secondary character in most of the other stories, have a little romance.

I really recommend this book to new and return Foster readers. If you haven't read the other installments of the Buckhorn Brothers, I suggest you read them first, as they'll give you some background on Casey and on the family dynamic.

This is a great holiday read! Enjoy!

Summary: All well ends well
Review: Romance maestro Lori Foster brings a most gratifying conclusion to her popular Buckhorn Brothers' series where Sawyer's son, Casey Hudson reunites with the reputed bad girl Emma Clark after a 8-year separation and finds himself in love with the stronger, resilient woman who had outgrown her adolescence and shame.

Readers will immediately identify with the awkward teenage Emma who escapes from her dysfunctional family and runs into the embrace of the reliable Casey, lying to her father that she is pregnant. She is ashamed but helpless especially when Casey's family offers her comforting solace. Harboring a crush for Casey but knowing that his bright future excludes her, she escapes alone to Chicago and finds herself a new life with the help of the affectionate Damon as a massage therapist. Her return to see her ill father 8 years later becomes a reunion and a revival of love between Casey and her.

Lori Foster glosses the Cinderella romance with a dose of emotions and gumption in the determined Emma and pumps warmth and kinship into the arteries of the Kentucky town with the gathering of Sawyer, Morgan, Gabe and Jordan and a glimpse of their bliss. Even the unlikely Ceily has found herself a love interest. Ms. Foster's sensual style as usual is a pleasure to watch and Casey is a delicious hero with the protective streak. What more can we ask for given the first-rate romance and sanctuary of family bliss except indulge in more?

Summary: Well Worth The Wait For Casey
Review: The Best One Yet
If I could give this book more then 5 stars I would. Casey is the long awaited followup to the Buckhorn Series. Casey is the son of Sawyer. He most definetly is a chip off the old block. This books takes you back to the ending of Jordan book when Emma Clark appears at the Hudson family home. You find out what happens to Emma that night and then the story picks up 8 years later when Emma comes back home to Buckhorn. Emma fights it tooth and nail her attractions to Casey. But when she finally gives in to her desires it is amazing. This book will make you laugh, cry and swoon. It is a wonderful read and a fantastic ending to the series.

Summary: True Romance--Take this book to heart.
Review: This is a lovely story of how a person can rise above a bad reputation. Casey is too good to be true. This book also contains a sweet secondary love story. The story gets a little preachy in spots but it does not drag down the story of Casey and Emma. The progress of their relationship feels very realistic. It's also very enjoyable to get reacquainted with the rest of his family. One of the best bits is a conversation between the brothers at a barbecue. My only criticism -- and it's a very tiny one -- is that some of the dialogue doesn't strike the ear as natural for grown men.
