Rating: Summary: A thriling book to put you on the edge of your seat!!! Review: I have read some vampire romance books in the past, but this one I truly enjoyed. As far as I am concerned for ANGELA HANLEY, I would never think of comparing this book to a low budget film! And anyways I have seen some vary good low budget films, with characters played extremly well, and with a good plot. Yes, it did drag on in some parts but you never knew what was to happen next. The characters could have been described more in detail, but that was okay. The ending was kind of disapointing, but it didn't necessarily ruined the book, because the ending could have been a lot worse. So, read the book if you haven't yet. Anyone, feel free to e:mail me at any time with your ideas and coments. And I will be sure to get back with you.
Rating: Summary: I beg to disagree Review: I just read this book a few weeks ago and the fact that I can barely remember the characters is telling. I realy have to disagree with those readers who found t his book, enthralling, great ... Reading it was actually a chore. If a book interests me, I tend to try to read it in ne sitting. It took me ages to finish this book and in between I read a Linda Howard and a John Grisham. If you want a really enthralling vampire read, try one of Linda Lael Miller's Vampire series or, better still, Jasmine Cresswell's Prince of the Night. The latter is probably one of the most original vampire and enthralling romances.
Rating: Summary: Good but conflicting in some areas Review: I like the fact the author allowed the herione to find out about the hero's secret and overall this book starts out to be a good read. However towards the end of this book, the main characters actions contradict what they did in the beginning. Throughout the book Marisa doesn't like the idea that Grigori is a vampire; yet she askes Grigori to marry her knowing what he is and considers becoming a vampire herself. Edward is a vampire hunter who becomes a vampire in the end. Because of the context of the story, Edward should have been left for dead. Edward was changing his life i.e. moving into a house and thinking about his future. If leaving Edward alive was supposed to show how far Grigori was willing to go for Marisa's love, it didn't work. Grigori had already won Marisa's heart earlier in the story. Secondly, Grigori already showed compassion throughout the book, especially towards Antionette, his wife before he became a vampire, by respecting her last wish: death. Which would release Antionette's soul once her children's deaths were avenged. Edward should have thought twice before leaving as a vampire considering that he was asked by Grigori to "kill" Antionette and that Alexi, the villian, took Edward's will but left him with his mind. Antionette, having a worse fate at the hands of Alexi, with no mind or will, chose death once Grigori made her into a vampire. With this in mind, should Grigori have granted Marisa's request to save Edward's life knowing both the good and bad sides of immortality?
Rating: Summary: This is one of the most enthralling vampire romance ever. Review: I loved this book it kept me hopping. It has everything you want in a romance, love triangles, conflict, intrigue, danger, passion and excitement. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves vampire-romances or romances in general. I could not put this down - it had me hooked from the first page wondering who the vampire was - was he the dark stanger. It was a pure adreline rush. The lines are also a kick - I found myself so into this book, I was laughing or gritting my teeth to each predicament as I moved through the book. The characters are amazing from the Alexi the nasty time traveling vampire who is wrought with evil to Gregori who became the undead for revenge but would rather not prey on human flesh unless necessary. Marisa the heroine who is torn between a love so strong for Gregori, who is not human to a deep caring for Edward who wishes to destroy Gregori. I loved this book I know you all will too!
Rating: Summary: I LOVED THIS BOOK BUT... Review: I read and love all of Amanda Ashley's books and all of Madeline Baker's books. This book was wonderful until the 6th to the last paragraph...Marisa says she has decided to become a vampire but only after she has one more Easter with her family up at their cabin and go on one more vacation next summer and spend one more Christmas with her brother and his wife ane their kids...my question is - where will she leave Grigori while she does all this - I mean, she loves him totally, right? Other than this very disappointing matter the book was great.

Rating: Summary: All Around Great Book! Review: I thought Amanda Ashley's Shades Of Gray was a wonderfully entertaining, and all around enchanting book. You will fall in love with the characters from the start. It's exciting, and the romance is great.
Rating: Summary: disappointing Review: I was really disappointed with this book. It was so depressing that even the ending couldn't help it. Unfortunately for me I read more of her books and haven't found one yet that I liked.
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT! Review: I would rate this a Five Plus, if I could. I hated to put it down for the night. Good story, lots of romance. Grigori could kill me with those kisses of his. LOL. I loved everything about this book: The characters, the plot, the humor, the dialogue. Even the ending. It wasn't overly dramatic or drawn out(the fight scene), and even humorous when Grigori has to..... you know....Edward (I won't completely give away the ending as one reviewer did). Reviewers, in consideration of those who have not yet read it would you please give a Spoiler-Warning when you're going to give away the ending; fortunately I already had read it. I even enjoyed the "mundane" parts, as one reviewer called them -- ordering Chinese, shopping, the family breakfasts -- these weren't dragged out or boring; they added warmth to the characters. I do agree with one reviewer, however, about Edward's parting statement. That was definitely treated too casually. However, it was not enough to lower my rating, for the rest of the book was highly satisfactory. I'm sorry I didn't buy it in hardcover because it is definitely A KEEPER!
Rating: Summary: Didn't like it. Review: I've read all of Amanda Ashley's books and of all of them I thought this was the worst. I didn't like it for a number of reasons, one: because it took place in the 90's, two: after a while the books get a bit repetitive, three: I didn't like how the vampire hunter just hung around and I didn't like the story line. All together it just made one horrific book. Of all of her books, I still like "A Darker Dream" the best.
Rating: Summary: This is a must read book. Review: If your into romance novels with a little twist to them you will love this book. This is the first romance I've read with a Vampire included as a character and I thought it was really good. I couldn't put it down. I'm reading it for the third time now and will probably read it again. I love it. Grigori is my favorite male role out of all of the romance I've read. I would recommend this book to anyone.
