Summary: Wonderful!
Review: I was impressed when I got this new book, and am looking forward to Ms Small's new book. My heart went out to India when she had to give up life as she knew it and wanted it, yet she went on to have a wonderful relationship with Caynan Ries. Then I felt like crying when she was torn from the man she loved and forced to give up her child by Jemmie Leslie. Which I thought was a really low blow to young India. Yet I was ecstatic when finally she and her true love were reunited atlast, along with there child. i woul;d reccommend this book to anyone. True to the legacy of Skye, India stood up well with the other women of her infamous family. I applaud these women.

Summary: WASTE OF MONEY!
Review: I've just about given up on Ms. Small. The Kadin is still one of my favorite books but each book since then has dropped in quality ending with this drivel. I didn't like James Leslie in Wild Jasmine, disliked him more in Darling Jasmine and now hate his guts in this book. India is a whiny contemtible snot and her mother has lost any spirit she had (probably due to being married to James Leslie) SPARE YOURSELF AND DON'T BUY IT!

Summary: A good read
Review: In the early seventeenth century, teenager India Lindley elopes with Adrian Leigh, Viscount Twyford, a noble her father scorns. However, before the duo can marry in Italy, Barbery pirates from the state of El Sinut capture their ship.

New York Times best selling author Bertrice Small continues the romantic adventures of the Skye O'Malley descendants with the well-written tale of India, the first of a new trilogy. The story line is trademark Ms. Small with an enjoyable historical erotica romance that includes female sex slavery in an exotic locale. Fans of the author and anyone who has never tasted one of her novels, will gain immense pleasure from BEDAZZLED. However, there is nothing new to the story line that Ms. Small has not previously said in her previous O'Malley novels, a fact that will leave some readers bored with the tale.

Summary: Ms. Small is back. I loved Bedazzled!!!
Review: It is about time one of Bertrice Small's characters ended up with the same man. That was refreshing but, India was a whiner and I would have liked the story behind the rise of the Dey and his escape. What happened to Jasmine's character?? She used to be strong why did she become such a wimp. Jasmine and James have lost their spunk. She was strong in her own book but, became too domesticated. James Leslie was an overbearing jerk. BUT, I have always wanted Patrick Leslie's story (Cat's first husband, James' father). I never liked the way that ended for Patrick. There was never any closure. So if you read this Ms. Small, PLEASE write Patrick Leslie's story. I would love to read the rest of Velvet Dynasty.

Summary: Another harem - *yawn*
Review: Let's see, of all the women in this series, how many have ended up in a harem? Skye - 2 her sister in law Aiden - 1 her niece Valentina - 1 Her daughter Velvet(I love these names) - 1 Grandaughter Jasmine - 1 and now great grandaughter India. I also like how Canyan Reis pulled the old Clark Kent/Superman thing of disguise. Like no one would be able to see who he really was? DUH! Jeez, and all these women in these books pride themselves on their intelligence....yeah right.

Summary: I'm sure glad I didn't pay full price for this one.
Review: Like a lot of other readers here, I'm thinking - what happened?

You would think that the granddaughter of Skye O'Malley AND Cat Leslie would be full of passion, fire and UNBELIEVABLE spirit - instead we get a rather flat, 2-D character who doesn't even know her own husband with a beard on his face. Come on, give us, the readers, more credit than this. I hated Jasmine Leslie's character ever since she was introduced and I don't like it now, either. James Leslie turned from a promising young man in Love Wild And Fair to a frankly uptight, damn near abusive man. I'm aware that Small's got a penchant for violent male characters but let's get real here, she is NOT going to endear romance readers by stealing the heroine's own child - that's not what romance is about. The only thing I'm grateful for is that I found this dreck in a used bookstore - and what's really sad is that I found it there only a week after its release. That tells you just how bad it really is. *sigh* Like others, I'm damn close to giving up as well - give me her old stuff any day.

Summary: another harem....
Review: Lord I was so bored with this book. What are the odds 3 women out of the same family would become harem girls? Please...mostly I love Ms. Smalls books but this one was a real howler.

Summary: Teasing us for the future,,,
Review: Ms. Small has enchanted once again. I feel that our literaryfriends also grow and change with age and time. Some we do not likewhat happens with these changes, but there it is. I was overjoyed to be reunited with Cat. (And is it a historical fact that she brought Bothwell's heart alone back to Scotland?) Somehow I get the impression that Fortune is the next story. She has the grit to go face off with the Irish manager of her breeding farm in Ireland. I can see her galloping across her farm in the same outfit that Cat wore when she rode with The Hepburn. Until I can write and publish historical romance novels with the the same degree of success as Ms. Small, you will find no criticisms from me, just a fervent request to keep them coming.

Summary: Bertrice Small is my favorite author--But what happened?
Review: Normally, Ms. Small's stories are filled with strong, fascinating women and dashing, sexy men. Even the villians are usually incredibly interesting. Her plots have surprising twists and are rich with history and texture. However, this latest sequel to the Skye O'Malley series is flat. This great-grandaughter of Madame Skye is spoiled and one dimensional. Her hero is a bit more interesting, but his position as the dey seemed too easily attained and his return to England too pat. And what happend to Jasmine and James Leslie? These two were down right matronly! I love Ms. Small and will always buy her books; however, I am hoping for a novel truer to her exceptional talents next time.
