Rating: Summary: Proud Wolf's stock drops a few points Review: After we've already had an earlier volume in this trilogy (plus an entire earlier trilogy) to know and respect Clay Holt's Sioux brother-in-law, he appears to crash and burn here. A Native American reader would have to have a lot of tolerance to be able to stomach the way the previous volume had a well-meaning anthropology professor who just plain doesn't get it sending Proud Wolf back east to school. Here, the school headmaster's teenage daughter becomes infatuated with the guy. One can only speculate where her head is at. Does Proud Wolf represent sort of a rebellion against Daddy? Or does she find him more manly in comparison to the effete "I say, fella" types she's used to? I can't see much respect involved in either scenario. I'm going to grab the next one because the other story lines in this trilogy make it worth it. But I definitely want to see if Ross gives Proud Wolf's dignity back to him.
Rating: Summary: A page-turner and thrilling--took only one day to complete. Review: As always, Dana Fuller Ross has not let her readers down. I have a complete set of all of her books. Content wise, it is fast-moving and always thrilling. I have also just completed "Honor" and it was just as thrilling. My only criticism is that we are left hanging--for maybe a year to see what happens to the Holts. During that time I have read many other books and have lost track of the Holts. I would like to see Ms. Ross complete each novel more and not leave us wondering what will happen for perhaps another year. I would like to hear from Ms. Ross personally since I am a fan of hers.
Rating: Summary: Dana Fuller Ross Review: As usual Dana Fuller Ross, gives us an exciting bit of fiction and history mix as he always does. I have seen many reviews that say her, refering to Dana Fuller Ross. Check it out. Dana Fuller Ross, is a wonderful man, named Noel B. Gerson living in Stockton, CA. (who also writes a wonderful series called the White Indian Series under the name of Donald Clayton Porter and writes mystery under the pseudonyms of Samuel Edwards and Leon Phillips) There is one other author who uses this pseudonym and that is James M. Reasoner. All together, Mr. Gerson has about ten different names he writes under. It does not matter what name he writes under, he is still a good author ficton or non-ficton. Checking his facts of history, very carefully. Yet making an interesting fictional story. Making you think that these people could have really lived. They may have even been my ancestors. That's the mark of a good author. (Note to the author(s): Keep up the good work, keep on writing about the Holt Families. They are just great)

Rating: Summary: Vengeance! Review: This is the second in the Empire Trilogy....This one wasn't as good as Honor! I thought this one jumped around too much.I also didn't like the ending with Jeff and Melissa splitting.
